  • • Residential Max: 80–400 Mbps download / 15–35 Mbps upload (top network priority)
    • Residential 200 Mbps: Capped at 200 Mbps download / 15–35 Mbps upload
    • Residential 100 Mbps: Capped at 100 Mbps download / 15–35 Mbps upload

  • Great deal but yeah… being able to turn it off on Musks whim for political leverage? No thanks

    • For some people it's between this or no good internet at all. In an infrastructure and economy that's been destroyed and cost of living this high, it is what it is unless another company/government releases an alternative which I sincerely hope happens soon

      • Oh I whole-heartedly agree. I am lucky enough to be able to be picky. Others aren't

  • So this is almost half the cost of my current plan with starlink. Can I cancel my plan then sign up again with the cheaper price?

    • May not be applicable here, but some folks in Oz are getting $xx off their next bill instead of 30% off

    • i manage to get offer via support bot, at least it was promised

      • I have been promised satellite upgrade in the past or travel satellite that never arrives - 3 times now
I wouldnt bank on that happening

  • I will go and have a look, but asking here

Is this reduced rate for a particular length of promotional time - then back to full price?

This reads as cheaper than entry-level fibre

What’s the footprint required to receive / and what degree of sky visibility do you require?

    • The current service discount offer ends on 30 November. Once it is on your plan, the reduced monthly price does not expire after a set number of months, though Starlink can still change the price later with 30 days’ notice.

      • Yeah just read under faqs

The reduced monthly price stays on your plan and does not expire after a set number of months. Starlink can still update the monthly service price later. If it does, you’ll get 30 days’ notice, including while your discount is in effect

  • Just saved my old man $25/month. Legend @Redcafej.

  • Cheapies plse beware : it appears (?) that standard discounted residential plan is strictly a fixed location set up, so not an authorised mobile type plan. (So not the high cost options like "Starlink Mini", etc)
