Hey Cheapies Community,

With the PB Tech "early" Black Friday deals starting up, I wanted an easier way to sort through them all instead of just scrolling endless pages.

So, I built a small website that shows all the deals and puts them in a clean, searchable table. I'm pretty excited to share it and really hope it's useful to the community for finding a good bargain!

It lets you:

  • Search for specific items (e.g., "phone", "laptop case", "ssd")
  • Filter by discount percentage (from X% to Y%)
  • Sort by name, price, or discount
  • Toggle dark mode
  • Copy a markdown table of your filtered results

I'm hoping to keep it updated as more deals drop. Let me know what you think!

Cheers!

Edit: Best viewed on desktop/laptop

Admin, I'm just a community member excited to share a tool I made. I hope it's okay to post this! If not, please feel free to take it down. Thanks!

Update V3.3

-Added Last set of BF Deals
-Slight UI Update

MAJOR UPDATE V3.2

  • New Domain Name

  • I am glad to introduce version 3.2 which brings a major performance overhaul. Based on community feedback, I have implemented pagination so the site no longer tries to load 15,000+ deals at once. This drastically improves load times and makes sorting and filtering instant.

Thanks again for the support and happy deal hunting!!!

UPDATE V2.0

Thanks so much for all the amazing feedback! I've been busy pushing out an update with all the fixes and suggestions you made.

Here's what's new in the latest version:

  • GST-Aware Price Filter: This was a big one! The "Min $" and "Max $" price filters are now "GST aware". They will correctly filter against the GST-inclusive price when the GST toggle is on.

  • GST on by Default: As requested, the "Show GST Inc." toggle is now on by default.

  • Search is Fixed: The manual search is no longer "jank" 😄. It now works just like Ctrl+F and will find brands like "msi", "samsung", "vacuum", etc., without any issues.

  • "Hide Accessories" Button: This is still there to easily hide all items tagged as "case", "cable", or "accessory" so you can find the main deals.

  • [ BETA ] Smarter "Quick Filters": The "Phone", "Laptop", and "PC Parts" buttons are now much more powerful. Instead of just searching one word, they now search for dozens of relevant phrases (like "msi gpu", "intel i5", "samsung galaxy s", "dell xps", etc.) to find the actual products you're looking for.

Thanks again for all the suggestions—it's made the tool so much better. Let me know what you think!

MAJOR UPDATE

Hey everyone,

I've just pushed a big update to the PB Tech Deals page. Here's a quick summary of what's new:

New Features

  • New "Quick Search" Menu: Replaced the old filter buttons with a powerful Category > Brand > Product Type dropdown menu.

  • New "Google Search" Column: Added a "G" column with a clickable icon to search for the product on Google.

  • New "Promo" Column: Moved promo codes into their own dedicated column for better visibility.

  • Wildcard Search: The main search bar now supports * as a wildcard (e.g., NBKMSI******).

Fixes & Improvements

Mobile View Improved: The table is now much cleaner and easier to use on mobile devices.

UI Cleanup: Removed the old "Quick Filters (BETA)" row to simplify the layout.

As always, let me know if you run into any bugs. Oh, and also, I have added a Buy Me a Coffee link… If you find this tool helpful, you can now support the page via the new "Buy Me a Coffee" link (no pressure at all!).

Happy deal hunting!

MAJOR UPDATE (V2.0 + V2.1)

Version 2.1 - 11/11/2025

Added this "What's New" popup!

Added a "Last Scraped" timestamp to the top of the page.

Fixed a bug where promo filters wouldn't reset properly.

Version 2.0 - 10/11/2025

Major Feature: Added Promo Code filters!

You can now filter by specific promo codes like "BFDEAL" or "CLEARANCE".

The filter bar has been redesigned to support this.

(I am not Affiliated PB Tech nor does it contain referral links)

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals.

I just reported it for mods to give you an associated badge since it's your webpage (in response to comment at the bottom of your post).

    • +1

      Associated with whom?

      • +2

        pbscraper.netlify.app

  • Well done.
The output is showing GST exclusive pricing though. I know this can be toggled within the PB tech site but when comparing with other retailers pricing is normally including GST.
Maybe a toggle on your scraper to turn GST on/off?

    • +2

Thanks heaps for the feedback and good catch!, I will definately implement that and send a update asap.

  • +2

Love it, but not quite sure if the search is working as intended. Searching 'phone' works, but searching brands, like Braun or Spigen seem to reveal 0 hits, despite CTRL+F showing hits for those brands. Same is true of sodimm and vacuum.

    • +4

Thanks for letting me know, I will do some extensive testing and tweaking to make sure you get more advanced search results within the site.

      • +7

The \b at the beginning of your regex is breaking it.
        const re = new RegExp('\b' + tok.replace(/[.*+?^${}()|[\]\\]/g, '\\$&'), 'i');

  • +1

You're a legend! Thanks very much for doing this.

  • +3

Nice, some random things that stood out to me

  • nice job
could you add the GST incl or excl tick box?
also how about a price range slection min to max? for example i search for phone but i dont want to see 250 phone cases
i would like to select min price 200 max price 1500 for example which would remove all the junk

  • +1

The search is a bit jank at the moment but cool website idea overall. Being able to filter out out of stock items would be a nice QOL improvement too. Nice OP!

  • thanks for the site, How does the search work? I see there is a vacuum as the 8th listing but when I search the word Vacumm it returns an empty list.

  • Some items are showing as out of stock after I browsed to them from your site. Perhaps have a filter to show only in-stock items?

Also a filter for the price? If I search for 'phone', it shows $5 phone cases when I'm only interested in phones over $500.

Also, perhaps open-source it so people can contribute on Github?

    • Hey thanks for the reply, I have attempted to fix this, the term "smartphone" should give better results now. As for OOS items, the product links will be updated daily and i believe this scrape was done when they were in stock so expect an update soon :)

      • Another suggestion, could you add support for deeplinks or search string queries? Something like this:

        https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%s

where %s would be the search keyword, e.g. "iphone".

This would allow scripting/automations to work, as well as for extensions like this one:
        https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/searchbar/fjefgkhmc…

I can search the same keyword against multiple sites easily (Amazon, Temu, Aliexpress, etc) by just typing the search term once and opening links against that keyword using keyboard shortcuts or mouse clicks on the SearchBar extension.

  • Doing the Lords work. Legend

    cheap 128GB M.2 NVMe Internal SSD - 2242 for $10.42
    https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/HDDOEM0124B/128GB-M2-NVMe-I…

    • Sold out now.

These were great for those Chinese nuc boxes to chuck your boot stuff on then use the bigger drive they came with somewhere more useful.

      • They come in and out of stock as they pull them from machines to put bigger ones in. I got some for boot drives in my recently upgraded crapbox computers that now will boot nvme, and the ones I got have all worked surprisingly well. Much better than the netac trash.

        • The 2 I picked up are kioxia do a fairly decent known brand. As a boot drive for a nas or router they are great. Now I also have a 512gb drive ripped out of the gmktec box to find a home for. Need to replace my old dell PC used as a nas to be able to add some SSD cache in.

  • +1

    Very cool :)

  • Nice work!

It'd be cool to be able to filter out certain categories like:
    Mobile Phone Cases
    Mobile Phone Screen Protectors
    Other Mobile Phone Accessories

Since majority of those deals listed will be from those categories, that way its easier to find the actual good deals

  • +1

You, my boy… you are a legend! I couldn't find pc parts though, is it something you are not scraping for yet or is it just that there are no discounts?

  • +1

what a legend. +1 for you

  • +6

Hey guys thanks for the feedback and troubleshooting help, I've just published a update addressing all your suggestions and issues. Huge shoutout to all!

  • Maybe it is just the things I'm looking at but quite a few of them are out of stock? Is there a way to exclude out of stock?

    Great work by the way.

    • Ah yes ill be updating the catalogue with updated stock sometime soon. Thanks for the feedback

  • An idea for your filters, you may notice the product codes (which are in the urls) start with particular prefixes for certain categories. It won't help with everything but big categories it might. Eg all monitors start with MON. Brand prefixis make up the second part of the identifier.

    • Wicked idea, ill note that down and see if I can use it! Thanks

    • +1

I've implemented something along the lines with this (BETA) Thanks for the suggestion once again!

With the PBTech "early" Black Friday deals starting up

I think you put the quotes in the wrong place:

With the PBTech early Black Friday "deals" starting up

  • Hey great work there. But the deals are duller than Labour weekend sale..

  • Hey man, really cool site!

Keep up the grind, out of being nosey what's the stack you are utilsing to achieve this?

  • Can you send to a .csv or similar, and add any additional description fields like classification, product group, manufacturer, product release year etc

This type of thing is just screaming for a power BI visualisation

  • Not sure about BF deals but Eufy Baby S320 Smart Sock was $286.99 yesterday, its $ 446.99 today.

    • Auto price beat with a competitor wait will December might go on special again

  • why wont the xiaomi mi 15 go on special 😭

  • So cool, thanks for this

  • LEGEND!!!!!!!!

  • Good work. Not sure if it could show the images of what its finding from pb or not, that would be helpful to skim down the page instead of having to read words.

    • Good idea, I tried implementing that but it was drastically slowing down the site. Will try to add this without hefty loading times

  • +1

Last week Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro was $295, this week it is $423 with a promo code. PB Tech is funny.

  • BF Deal Database Information added at the top of the post description

  • Just wish I'd bought their AData XPG Gammix 64Gb DDR4 RAM kit a couple of weeks ago. It was $240 in their Labour Day Sale, now it's $458. sigh.

Prices of DRAM and NVME drives has gone through the roof in the past few weeks. It's absolutely crazy. You can almost see them increasing in real time.

    • Fricken AI companies hogging all the resources now

  • Can anyone recommend a cheap, reliable site to buy 2 × 16GB DDR4 2667 MHz RAM modules to upgrade a 2018 Mac mini?

    • If you can hold, do. Ram is skyrocketing in prive and will calm down eventually

      • We thought the same about SSD's years ago and its no better

  • Looks great! Im on android and I can only see the product and discount (but not the price) on the main screen. Would it be possible to include the price too?

Also it doesnt quite fit on my screen - need to scroll right to see the discoint, I guess it wouod depend on the phone but maybe you can make the screen autosize? (I have some very limited experience in this space but think its possible)

    • Hey thanks for the feedback, I have adjusted the code to fit the discounted price and discount % and a Google search link for mobiles. Thanks for the suggestion

  • Thanks for the feedback and suggestions everyone, I have released a Major Update V3.0 and a latest scrape of the BF deals as of 09/11/2025 @ 10:00PM. Happy deal hunting!

  • Trying to find 1tb NVMe but not getting much result. Tried various filters/words. Even the quick search from pc & parts doesn't show crucial or few other brands.

I am assuming this doesn't cover the whole inventory.

    • +1

Hey, so up until now it was only mainly showing the Early BF deals but now i have expanded the catalogue to sitewide deals. But still remember itll only be "Deals" and not the entire catalogue as there isnt much point of the website if it includes non deals. Check the site now and you might see some deals :)

      • Makes sense. Thanks. I am surprised there is not much discounts in ssd storage section.

        • I am surprised there is not much discounts in ssd storage section.

Im not expecting much discount, if any, on storage, for the next few months at least given the shortages across the world.

At the business end, we are seeing some clients being told to 'buy now' (enterprise grade drives), or potentially have to wait a year - let's hope that's just FUD / trying to drive sales!

  • When do the BF deals get announced before Friday?

    • My guess would be Thursday

Hope the Xiaomi Fan 2 goes on sale. Got one already and looking to add to the collection. Big fan.

      • what's so good about this fan? for sleeping?

        • +2

It's the DC motor that makes it quieter. If you put it on full speed the air moving is pretty loud still, there is no way around that. But I sleep with it on around 50-60%

      • +1

I see what you did there…

        • I see what you did there…

We only have his word for it though.

  • has hiding certain categories been removed?
can't hide the mobile accessories now again

I'd be great to have a filter where you can checkbox categories that you don't want to see please
    Thanks!

    • Sure will get add this back

  • Is there a way to just see the newly added Cyber Monday deals?

    • +1

Working on getting this done. Will post update asap :)

  • Did it stop updating? Says last scraped on 16/11/2025.

  • +1

Instead of loading 10,000 deals on the page (which causes performance issues even on beefy machines), could you instead use pagination? It's pretty common technique used on retail shopping sites. Give users the option to set how many to display per page (100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000, etc). Most of the time when we're sorting (not filtering), we probably don't need to sort for the entire 10,000+ deals. For example, if I just want to quickly see what's the cheapest to most expensive because I have no idea what to buy and I'm just browsing around, then I'd probably only look at the top 100~200 deals. Same thing for when I go to a retail site and look at their clearance, I just want to look at cheapest to most expensive and see what I wanna buy based on my price range.

    • I agree, but especially with giving users a real choice of number (so don't top out at a measly 100!)

    • Yup I'm already working on this. Was meant to be live a few days ago but just need to diagnose it a bit and polish it up and release the update. Aiming to get it done by start of next week. Regardless thanks for the suggestion

      • +1

Cool thanks. Perhaps it'd be a good idea to open source it on Github? People will be able to make feature requests easily and more importantly you'd get a lot more contributions from the community.

Unless you have plans to sell this as a service (which imo would be hard), I personally don't think it makes sense to keep it closed source, but either way it's your decision.

        • +1

I would certainly be able to contribute on it since I have over 15 years of software development background.

          • @Neotk: First piece of 'completed' code due out any day now?

            • @Alan6984: I didn't get it mate haha

              • @Neotk: I was just pulling your leg :-)

My experience is that code is never actually 'complete', and if you ask someone (me included when I did), it would always be 'nearly complete'.

                • @Alan6984: Ah yes. I hate myself everyday for it. I think it's complete, and the actual complete keeps taking longer and longer. haha.

        • +1

Ill definitely look into doing this, me and my mates are bigtime programming enthusiasts and love taking on challenges so our primary focus is to resolve issues but will definitely make it open source at some point. Thanks for your continued support aswell :)

  • +1

Oh no reached usage limits :(

    • +5

Im working on fixing this, sadly they are trying to charge me heaps to renew so might be down until tomorrow morning. Thanks for your guys patience

awesome site - love your work!

      • Found out about this on Geekzone earlier this month and love the tool. If you need any help/suggestions on where to host this (without getting sucked into the horrible world of overpriced managed hosting) from a random stranger on the internet, I'm happy to help out :)

Either way, thanks for building this!

        • +1

Thanks for the review! I have sorted out the hosting issue as of now and the new url is redirected by clicking "go to deal" but im keen to know what you were going to suggest. Dm'd you

  • +2

Hey everyone, apologies for the downtime earlier. The old domain host required payment to keep the site accessible, but thanks to your continued support I was able to get this resolved quickly.

I am glad to introduce version 3.2 which brings a major performance overhaul. Based on community feedback, I have implemented pagination so the site no longer tries to load 15,000+ deals at once. This drastically improves load times and makes sorting and filtering instant.

Thanks again for the support and happy deal hunting!!!

  • This site is showing different prices to what the actual PB website shows.

  • Same here as some deals have already ended, but the prices haven't been updated yet.

    • Hey sorry for the late response. I setup a automation while i was going on a work trip but it the automation didn't build successfully. Did it manually now!
