Hey Cheapies Community,

With the PB Tech "early" Black Friday deals starting up, I wanted an easier way to sort through them all instead of just scrolling endless pages.

So, I built a small website that shows all the deals and puts them in a clean, searchable table. I'm pretty excited to share it and really hope it's useful to the community for finding a good bargain!

It lets you:

• Search for specific items (e.g., "phone", "laptop case", "ssd")
• Filter by discount percentage (from X% to Y%)
• Sort by name, price, or discount
• Toggle dark mode
• Copy a markdown table of your filtered results

I'm hoping to keep it updated as more deals drop. Let me know what you think!

• I am glad to introduce version 3.2 which brings a major performance overhaul. Based on community feedback, I have implemented pagination so the site no longer tries to load 15,000+ deals at once. This drastically improves load times and makes sorting and filtering instant.

UPDATE V2.0

Thanks so much for all the amazing feedback! I've been busy pushing out an update with all the fixes and suggestions you made.

Here's what's new in the latest version:

• GST-Aware Price Filter: This was a big one! The "Min $" and "Max $" price filters are now "GST aware". They will correctly filter against the GST-inclusive price when the GST toggle is on.

• GST on by Default: As requested, the "Show GST Inc." toggle is now on by default.

• Search is Fixed: The manual search is no longer "jank" 😄. It now works just like Ctrl+F and will find brands like "msi", "samsung", "vacuum", etc., without any issues.

• "Hide Accessories" Button: This is still there to easily hide all items tagged as "case", "cable", or "accessory" so you can find the main deals.

• [ BETA ] Smarter "Quick Filters": The "Phone", "Laptop", and "PC Parts" buttons are now much more powerful. Instead of just searching one word, they now search for dozens of relevant phrases (like "msi gpu", "intel i5", "samsung galaxy s", "dell xps", etc.) to find the actual products you're looking for.

Hey everyone,

I've just pushed a big update to the PB Tech Deals page. Here's a quick summary of what's new:

New Features

• New "Quick Search" Menu: Replaced the old filter buttons with a powerful Category > Brand > Product Type dropdown menu.

• New "Google Search" Column: Added a "G" column with a clickable icon to search for the product on Google.

• New "Promo" Column: Moved promo codes into their own dedicated column for better visibility.

• Wildcard Search: The main search bar now supports * as a wildcard (e.g., NBKMSI******).

Fixes & Improvements

Mobile View Improved: The table is now much cleaner and easier to use on mobile devices.

UI Cleanup: Removed the old "Quick Filters (BETA)" row to simplify the layout.

        Yes I thought PB tect sells hard drive but I wasnt able to see any data on the website

        If it's not on the website, then it probably won't come through to the scraper either.

      This is why I suggested to open source it in an earlier comment, which still hasn't happened yet as far as I know. I think OP just wants to protect something he created in hopes that one day, perhaps he could monetize it. Just a guess. My view is that unless you've written at least 80% of the code yourself, then it shouldn't count as your own creation if all you've done is vibe code. If anything, that gives even more reason to open-source it.

      At this point, I'm tempted to just reverse engineer it. It's so easy with Claude these days, you can literally just "pirate" stuff, whether it's an Android app, Chrome extension, Win32 app, website, whatever. If I wasn't so busy with other things, I would, but it needs to be worth my time for it to be worthwhile.

      Anyway, another issue that should be looked at is items that are out of stock. Currently, there's no way to filter items that are in stock. For example, you can apply the clearance code and some of them are completely out of stock, so there's no point showing them in the results.

  Looks like this has been abandoned by the OP—the last refresh was back in February. It doesn't really matter to me since I never used it much, but I was thinking of taking some of the ideas and expanding on them as part of an app I'm building, with the goal of eventually monetizing it.

  Anyway, I created a clone of it, took only 2 prompts and it fixed up all the issues and stale entries. I might release the full code when I have time (since OP never bothered to open source it). Screenshot for reference:

  Or you can just build it yourself, it's pretty damn quick and easy. Claude only took an hour and 2 prompts to build this.

      I'm currently working on around 30 other projects, so I'm extremely busy. I put this together quickly to demonstrate a point, not as something intended for public release. I was just gonna share the source code, which I'll need to create a separate GitHub account and tidy up some other things, because I want my privacy.

      If I decide to host the site publicly, I'd need to do a bit more clean-up and code enhancement. None of that is particularly difficult, but it still takes time and effort. I'll do it when I have the time and, more importantly, when I actually feel like it.

      Also, notice that the original version still shows the "last refreshed" date as February 2026. That tells me that OP's version is most likely refreshed on an ad-hoc basis, not automatic. Being able to do this automatically would require probably a function app or something and there'll likely be a small ongoing expense to host and maintain it. Not keen to pay out of my own pocket to serve this for free. OP likely ran into free hosting limits with Vercel or Netlify or whatever he's using. Anyway, I haven't looked into the logistics behind it to work out the costs for running this publicly, it's something to look at only when I have free time or care to do so.
