Damn.. regret buying the gigabyte one from notbadtech the other week

Lol, you can wait for another 10 yrs for a cheaper price. Just enjoy it and move on. :)
Seems like they going to have a big update or something for the 50s
Supers are rumoured to be incoming Q4 - in time for holiday season

Yeah the Super models are meant to be releasing before the end of the year. 5070 Super will have 18Gb of vram while the 5070ti and 5080 variants will both have 24gb. Traditionally the Super models have launched with msrp's almost identical to the base models, but we all know how retail pricing has been for newly released gpu's lately so take that msrp price with a grain of salt.

I'm not sure if I need the 24gb, hope the price not too crazy. Should I wait or should I get the 5070ti… Man, I really need a new pc at some point soon, my laptop is dying…

@ChoiceChips: I felt that buying 5070ti is just over priced in nz. Price looks way more reasonable in the states though. Whereas 5070 actually hovers around msrp so I bought 5070 for now and I plan to upgrade in a few years time and build a 4k gaming rig. Proper 4k gaming set up right now is a bit costly anyway.

One consideration is that the 5070 (and upcoming 5070 super) still have a 192-bit memory bus, whereas 5070 'ti' (and above) utilize 256-bit…

@ChoiceChips: Faster access of data from memory. 5070 can fetch or store 24 bytes(192 / 8) in one clock cycle while 5070ti can fetch 32 bytes(256 / 8) at the same quanta of time, assuming both run at same clock speed.

Paying an extra $80 for CGA ain't so bad

I don't.
I paid an extra $70 or so, and for that, I got a 3-fan card that runs quieter, I received it in 2 days instead of 2 weeks, I get local CGA if I have any issues, I'm supporting a Kiwi business, and it came with a free code for Borderlands 4. I'm happy as.

Where did you buy it?
thanks
Out of stock now for the $999 version, next cheapest is $1100.

It is sad that a GPU essentially selling at original RRP is considered a bargain.

You can get one for $880 from amazon AU

This is that $880 card. 920 is the price at checkout
