Eligible new clients who successfully complete registration with moomoo NZ and open a moomoo NZ trading account during the Promotion Period will automatically receive one (1) US Brokerage-free Card and one (1) ASX Brokerage-free Card in their trading account.

Also depending on deposits/maintained account value can be awarded gift shares or fractional shares although this is apparently via a 'spin' system.

You may find it easier to use driver's licence than passport for id as their system didn't verify my passport details automatically.

Their app and windows app seems to provide extensive information and they offer CHESS sponsorship for ASX shares which some discount brokers who force you to use a custodian don't.

  Remember there is also interactive brokers as another solid brokerage option. They also have a referral rewards program.

  Not used Moomoo but looks alright - I would avoid tiger brokers.

      I don't agree with how they gamify investing and the behavior that encourages, but I also have 0 faith in their ownership. See the below links:

  So what's the difference between these guys and Sharesies? Other than a different app. Pretty much delivers the same experience. I'd rather support a NZ company myself.

  Does anyone know if someone a work visa in NZ (restricted to work with just that one company) can invest long term from here? Like use IBKR to invest in S&P500 or a couple of individual US stocks?
