  • Hi @gotyourback, will there be any upsized cashback for Klook?

  • booking.com has 10% for the 4th, 7th and 9th? Is that correct?
Is 10% very common, I'm not familiar with the shopback deals

    • +2

Yes 10% is generally the upsized cashback for booking.com. Sometimes it does go up to 12% if you want to wait for it

  • I finally got a Temu order tracked! I used a different email address for my Temu account.
I suspect the Temu didn't like my original account. Perhaps I had clicked on those spin the wheel type things in the past? So that made Temu not want to pay out.
I'll use this other account going forward and hopefully future orders will track correctly. If anyone is having issues with Temu tracking, I suggest just creating a new account using a new email address.

    • I made 4 orders yesterday, only one has been tracked so far, ill be really really really annoyed if I have to chase them down for the others, I only made the orders because of the cashback!

      • I only made one order at 6pm on 2 June and it tracked today (4 June) at 12:25pm.
This is the first time in a long time that Ive had a Temu order tracked. About my last 5 orders Ive had to chase upโ€ฆ

        • sorry, yes, on the 2nd, not yesterday lol. im really hoping they will do the next three order in the enxt few days or its back to chasing them up.. again.

  • +1

also im super surprised that Shopback seems to count every single item you ordered as a single, rather than the whole order, so ive had heaps of little ones registered individually, but still not the full amount yet. Is it normal for them to register every single item you bought individually?

    • +2

Yeah I think thatโ€™s standard w/ TEMU & Aliexpress. Thatโ€™s how itโ€™s always been for me

      • interesting, none of the little registered items are labeled (and only show the cash back amount, not the original purchase price), so im going to have a hell of a time tracking down which ones they havnt registered to try and chase them for the rest of my cashback. seems like a messy way to do it?

        • If you click into the cashback it will tell you that items purchase price(keep in mind that purchase price will have had the 15% GST taken off so it won't be the same as the Temu price).

On the mobile app it's displayed better than the desktop site.

          • @Dunno: Oh, so its not 70% off the full price? only 70% off the price - GST? that would have been going to know beforehand lol. Yea im using the app and none of the registered cashbacks have any info or names on them at all. They've registered 32/37 items but god knows how im going to find which 5 they havnt tracked!

            • @Nongin: It's listed on shopback under exclusions

              You won't get Cashback on:

Any Gift Card or Voucher redemption
Other loyalty programmes unless otherwise stated
Purchases made with Vouchers or Promo codes not featured on our platform
Fees ยท Taxes ยท Shipping and delivery ยท Credit card charges

You could just tell shopback support they missed items(they will want screenshots of the entire order anyway) and let them do the legwork to chase the missing items up. Some items could also be missing if they were already in your cart(ie they couldn't be attributed to a sale via shopback in such a case)

    • If you look on the app each order is listed individually. You can then click in and it shows each item purchased. If the order has tracked then all items in that order would have. I would much rather it this way than a total as if you return something the cashback for that single item drops to zero. With other cashbacks sites they track the total order amount and you can lose the cashback from all items on that order if you return something. Not with shopback though.

  • Be careful when using Trip.com cashback! I didn't realise that taxes/fees was such a massive portion. I just booked some flights expecting to get 10% cashback, but it ended up being a lot less.
    Fare NZD 1,550.00
    Taxes & fees NZD 1,043.60
    Trip Coins -1.82
    Total NZD 2,591.78

So only got $155 cashback when I was expecting closer to $259. There is no GST on international flights so I was assuming there would be no "taxes", but they interpreted the airport fees etc. which make up a big portion of airfares to be "taxes".

    • Hey @JasonY, thanks for sharing your experience and really appreciate the detailed breakdown ๐Ÿ™

You're absolutely right to flag this: with Trip.com (and many travel merchants), cashback is typically calculated on the base fare only, and taxes, airport fees, and other charges are excluded. While there's no GST on international flights, these other fees are still classified under "non-commissionable" by the merchant, which means they're not counted towards cashback.

We know it can be a bit confusing, and weโ€™re working to make these details clearer up front. If you have any questions about this specific booking, feel free to DM or reach out to [care@shopback.co.nz] happy to help! ๐Ÿ’š

Lame the 7day streak was showing a $5 Bonus cash back, but it's fake you actually get less, I got 0.25c

    • yep they are super misleading with the graphics and having the scroll the rewards all the way from $200 to 10 cents etc
