LDV E-Deliver 3 $29,990 + ORC (RRP $59,990) @ Auckland Auto Group

70

Deep discount on the LDV E-deliver 3 at Auckland auto group. Impressively cheap price. A 905kg payload cargo van for quite a bit less money than a base Toyota Yaris.

I think this is the cheapest new EV in NZ, now that the Nissan leaf has sold out and the GWM Ora $27k price has ended and they are now being listed at $32k.

Would be well suited for small urban deliveries, or the trades that suit a smaller van (sparky etc). Range means it is not ideal for longer distance travel (but has enough and the common CCS2 fast charge plug and enough range it could be done in a punch).

  • It claims 227km range, but does anyone know the realistic range would be for generic courier runs around a smallish town for 7 hours (150km) a day?

Pretty tempted to get one for work

I have one of these as an electrician in Auckland. Get around 200-220 range depending on how I drive. That’s also with a load in the back

      • Do you have a roof racks on yours? Ladder? Conduit pipe?

Just trying to gauge real-world range.

        • Yes all of the above plus racks in the van for gear/cable etc.

          • @Treezy: In that case the range you are getting is quite impressive.

In my EV ownership experience, weight is not a very big deal, but anything that adds aerodynamic drag, like a roof rack load is. Suggest a user who doesn't require a load on the roof could get quite a bit more urban range.

  • You will hardly use 50% battery per day. Lots of regeneration around town. But if you need to pop down to Hamilton and back at times, forget it!

Auckland to hamilton is what, 120km?

This van could do that drive and back with a charge in hamilton while you eat your lunch.

  • Cargo area not quite long enough for full sheets of ply/plasterboard 👎

Thus why only the recommendation for trades that can get away with a smaller van. Theres always a roof rack as an option I guess. Seems like the e deliver 9 would be good, dont supoose those havr been heavy discounted too?

      • I suspect one could cut a fairly sharp deal on an E Deliver 9 also, but this dealer doesn't have anything advertised beyond the 1.8% finance deal on all LDV.

KGM & LDV Auckland South is advertising 2024 Pre registered "Big" LDV E Deliver 9 at $49,990, which is $20k less then the current list price.

Also in that segment there are some ex demo 2023 e-transits. The below is a Long Wheel Base, Medium roof, asking $58k.

    Ground clearance : 4.8mm ?

    • LOL, good catch. Yeah that cant be right. Reckon that has gotta be in inches. The e deliver 9 has 6 inches of clearance.

  • Strongly recommend test driving first.
Short hops around town would be fine but anything long yeah nah
Very cheap build quality and would not want to drive it long distance at all.

  • My mate uses it for work. Had to wait 6 or 8 weeks to get a passenger door replacement and fitting done when a lady ran into his van. Lots of delay in spares coming in.

  • Could it be suitable converted to a camper van?

    • +1

Might be a more of a sleeper van due to the size. Load area is 2.16mm long at the floor, and gets a bit shorter as one goes up due to the slope in the bulkhead. A single bed is 1.9m long, so would need the entire length.

Setup would need to be more like what you see in those in Toyota estima's, ruling out stuff like a shower / toilet cubical & indoor kitchen that you find in the likes of Ford Transit campervans.

  • There are even cheaper E deliver 3's on trademe with under 1000km on them. Two at $26,990 drive away. I posted as a deal but it got unpublished due to limited quantity
