Quick look at reddit to see opinions on this and, not too many but they were all pretty bad, mostly for the xp-4100, wouldnt be surprise it's the same bad quality.

It is a very cheap printer with tiny and expensive ink cartridges.

Ink lasts for about 2 weeks

The XP-4100 is a complete piece of sh*t. Nothing but problems every time. -1000000/10. Would rather have a colonoscopy

I've had mine for almost two years and I do not recommend it. You'll be buying new cartridges every time you want to use it after leaving it unused for a few weeks.

Also, I wonder if it's one of those printers that brick when you use non official ink.

Reasonably priced ink here. Two will give you 1100 pages and free shipping = $76aud ($85nzd). Add printer and for around $110 you're all set up for a year or three of casual printing.
