    • Perfect timing. Mine is expiring next week

    • Anyone keen to go halves in a small plan for $125ea?

      • +1

Are the small plans part of the deal?

It looks like it is medium, large, and extra-large only, or am I missing something?

        • +1

The smallest plan out of the 3 is what I mean.

          • +1

            @Flippant:

The smallest plan out of the 3 is what I mean.

            Got ya.

I did not check the dollar amounts.

            Sorry!

      • I am also looking to share with some on the smallest plan

        • If you want to buy it from Kogan I'll flick you the $125 then you can send me the code, or I can buy it and you pay me.

          • @Flippant: Thanks! please message me your email ID

      • I’m keen to share the $250 plan with someone. Happy to pay and then get reimbursed or to transfer money immediately. Let me know via message.

Location does not matter as it’s a digital code. I don’t need a sim.

        • Keen to share the plan. Just need activation code. $125 right? Pls DM.

      • Interested…pls dm

        • Sending you a pm

          • +1

            @Bob: Replied, cheers

          • +1

            @Bob: Pls check DM

            • +1

              @bunga: Code sent via dm.

      • hey @d8400 - I'll take it I'm in chch as well. Sent you a message

        • I'm also keen and in Chch if anyone else needs.

    • For those that want to go halves, Order a $5 SIM to yourself and then use the activation code.

You aren't restricted to the location unless you want to save $5

      • Can you elaborate? Seems like a few on here are just happy to be sent the code.

        • They probably already have a sim. It comes with 2 free sims but sent to 1 place

    • Anyone willing to half the $250 plan?

      • Hi there - yes - did you get someone? I have a sim - so just need the code

    • Keen on getting a 180GB plan, does anyone know if there's a data cap for hotspotting? Currently with Mighty Mobile and they don't have one, which is really handy.

      • 15gb for the month is the hard limit

        • Thanks, that makes sense. I just realised my question was a bit silly when MM have unlimited data lol

    • +2

Before I jump on this I just want to confirm once more, for safety's sake; Kogan users, you can reply to 4-digit text services now, right? And if yes, how is it charged?

      • +3

if the reply is free, then yes you can reply. if a billable option then it'll decline.

        • +1

Interesting. My main concern is for stuff like doctor's appointments and prescription confirmations, but I've no idea if that stuff is billable. Cheers for the reply!

          • +3

@ABCDEFG: no stress. it never bothered me even when you couldn't reply. never affected appointments or anything. screw paying main stream pricing.

          • +1

@ABCDEFG: no need to reply, just get them to call you or you call them to confirm

          • +1

@ABCDEFG: It depends on the company, either they use a service where they cover the cost of sending and receiving customer replies(free for customer) or they pay for a service of sending fees only where customers pay for replies.

          • +1

@ABCDEFG: I've been with them coming up on 2 years now, and I can only recall one time that I couldn't reply to a shortcode. On that occasion I think I just rang whoever it was, but in all other cases I've been able to respond to them just fine.

      • +1

Yes, my kogan mobile can reply 4 digit text service. (and 3 digit text service recently). Sometimes my Andirod RCS causing issue. I am on the prepay plan, hence no charge.

      • +1

It works for me sometimes (dentist appointment and tony's car service) but for a few numbers my reply got "unable to deliver" issue.

    • +1

Last time to activate is on the 31st of December 2024 correct ?

      • That's correct.

      • Hey man. I’m in welly if you wanna send a dm

    • Open for go halves on 180GB. Existing customer no SIM.

      • Hey mate, messaged you

    • "Voucher does not apply to subsequent recharges. "

      • +1

That's not relevant for this deal.
Refers to the $5 starter pack.

    • I would like to go halves in the 180GB per year/15GB per month $330 plan. I previously did this via here a few years ago :-)

I need to recharge my account by Saturday so reach out to me if keen.

      • Sent you a PM

        • Replied to your PM!

          • @seantas: HighvoltageRuss and I are going halves, will report back

            • @seantas: Do you need the new SIM card to go halves?

              • +2

@bottomcoughs: Not if you already have a Kogan sim. It can be used on an existing account. It will start from the time activated to the account so best to wait till your current plan has expired if there is still time on it. Codes expire end of December I believe so needs to be activated by then.

                • @HighvoltageRuss: All sorted and a great member to deal with :-)

                  • +1

@seantas: Thanks. Same here. Nice and easy to sort out. If only Kogan would figure out they would do more sales if it was just half price and then we wouldnt have to split these up.

    • Can the code be used for recharge?

    • Anyone want to split 180 for Large Plan? I’m in Welly.

      Chur

      • Hey I’m keen! Also in Welly and already an existing customer, send me a PM?

  • +1

Not what I was hoping for. Bah!

    • Yip not looking good for 50% off now

    • I have DM'd you

    • Did you find someone? I might be able to take it, just waiting to hear back from a friend.

    Large 180 GB 15 GB $330 $13.75
    Extra Large 384 GB 32 GB $490 $20.42
    • Available to new and existing customers.
    • This does not stack with an existing plan expiry. If you apply the codes you will lose any remaining data on a current plan - wait until your plan is expiring or activate as late as possible prior to the 31st Dec 2024.
    • No the data doesn't roll over each month
    • Don't bother buying roaming data - it's expensive (buy a local sim if travelling. WiFi calling does work though if your phone is capable)
    • Yes you can reply to short codes now
    • Voicemail is included
    • Uses the One network in NZ
    • SIM cards can take a while to arrive so order early
    • Activation codes will arrive in two separate emails shortly after purchase (check your junk box)
    • Ok so the total is spread evenly over the 12 months? Rather than heres the total for the whole 12 months and you could use it all up in the first month?

      • Correct.
You will get a new allocation of data each month with the amount depending on the plan you have signed up for - 4, 15 or 32GB.

  • would love the small plan tbh

    • hopefully promo around Xmas/new Year

  • I've just ordered and will have one 180GB plan available when the codes get sent through if anyone's interested. Will want payment before sending code but am happy to verify trading history on Trade Me to add legitimacy if desired.

    • Ave PM'd you

      • Confirmed this is going to dherby.

  • +1

I Also have a 180GB available if anyone is interested. Just PM me

    • In progress

      • Hello keen for a 180gb plan do you still have it? Just need the code

  • Looking for a large voucher of there's one available.

    • Wanna split?

    • DM on its way.

    • found a person to split it with.

  • Other person I was going to do this with changed their mind, so if you're interested in going halves on a $250 plan I can buy the deal from Kogan and then set up a $1 buy now auction on Trade Me for you so you can get all my details (1800+ positive feedback, 0 negative). Would prefer someone who already has a simcard so I can just email you through the code once you've paid your half.

    DM me if interested.

    NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

  • Does anyone know if these plans support 5G?

    • +1

I often get 5G on Kogan so yes

    • +1

      Yes they do.

  • I tried to buy and got confused. Do you add 2 x vouchers or 1 and will get 2 sent to you ? When i add 2 vouchers it shows total price to pay 660 bucks for a large plan. Cheers team

    • +2

Just add one which will give you 2x SIM cards and 2x voucher codes.

    • Yeah i am keen to buy large plan. Can you pm me?

      • Sent PM 😊

  • +1

Will there be another similar deal in December or January? My current plan expires 29 Jan so I would lose a month if I get on this deal as activation has to be by 31 Dec.

    • +1

      Nobody knows (except Kogan).
Have a look through the previous deals here
There will likely be something but as to what that is and whether it is better or worse than this deal we will just have to wait and see.
You have to roll the dice.

    • Doubt it. If you're really lucky there might just be a 25% off or summat but nothing close to this. If you can find someone to split with, I recommend go for this and lose a month's plan.

    • +1

There have been 50% off or BOGO deals around 20th Dec for the past 3 years. I would expect the same this year, but can't guarantee this.

      • +2

I'm gonna give this a pass and manifest another BOGO in Dec!

    • I just purchased a Large plan PM'd - You have to enable PM in your Cheapies account settings

  • +3

I'm going to purchase a Large plan, if anyone would like to purchase the second plan off of me flick me a message. I already have a SIM

    • DM’d

    • I'd like to go half with you if this is still available please

    • PM to you.

  • Can you still receive calls and texts if you don't have a roaming add on when overseas?

And how would you pay for any additional costs during the term of the plan, say short code text costs?

  • Yeah I'm wondering if this Kogan Mobile deal is alittle odd frankly. (?). It's late November and Kogan Mobile do a higher costs 365 day plans BOGOF sale, BUT are still only allowing a tight and strange voucher activation date expiry of just only 40 days ! or so until 31 Dec. Any cheapie thoughts on this situation…?.

  • +1

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the voucher code via email? been waiting for around 20 mins now

    • I'd like to know too!

      • Just received the code so it took around 3 hours for me.

    • It's usually pretty quick, as in only a matter of minutes from memory.
Being the first day of the promo it could potentially take a bit longer.
Make sure you check your junk folder as mine always got treated as spam.
Failing that, login to your Kogan account and check if the voucher is marked as dispatched.
The SIM card is treated as a separate order to the voucher.

      • guess ill wait until it gets marked as dispatched

    • +2

Last year my order was confirmed at 1.31pm and the code arrived at 2.05pm the same day.

The order I just placed said that expected dispatch was the 22nd, so, who knows? Go do something else, as my Grandmother used to tell me back in the 70's, "A watched inbox never receives an email".

  • +2

They're still not including small? Medium was way too much data for me this year.

  • Any idea if Mighty Mobile is gonna do similar BF deals? Prefer to have unlimited data but slower speeds, don't really like to worry about data limits.
