21

You’re invited to the Rocket Mobile launch party! For a limited time only, you can get Rocket Max for only $60/month. This is normally $70/month, which is still heaps cheaper than other providers' max speed unlimited data plans. You'll be hard pressed to find a comparable plan anywhere else.

If that's more speed than you need, don't forget you can grab unlimited data plans from just $25/month with our Rocket Starter plan which goes up to 2Mbps.

Our offer:

  • Applies to all upfront Rocket Max plans purchased between 24 Nov to 21 Dec 2023
  • Lasts for the entire life of your plan, the price does NOT increase after a few months
  • Is available to new AND existing customers
  • Cancel at any time and you do NOT have to pay back the discount

How awesome is that? Grab it now at rocketmobile.co.nz/plans

  • It might be good to mention in this post that Rocket Mobile isn't a new company, it's a rebrand of MyRepublic Mobile (as mentioned on the website)

  • We’re calling out providers doing Black Friday promos that are only for new customers, the promo price is only for a few months, and you may even have to pay back the discount if you cancel early.

    Who are these providers?

    • 2degrees' Black Friday deal was half price $35+ pay monthly plans for the first 6 months only, and you have to repay the discount if you cancel early. Mighty Mobile's deal was $1 for the first 3 months before the price increases back to the normal price, which may not work out cheaper in the long term depending on what plan you get. Also for new customers only. Outside of a promo, Spark's max speed unlimited data plan is $90/month, for comparison.

  • What are cost for roaming?

    • Unfortunately roaming isn't currently available but will be back as an $8/day add on soon, keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on that.

I give it a few months before they change their minds and put everyone on 1.2mbps slowdown after they use 100GB. Telcos have tried and failed many times to offer unlimited data on mobile plans - fair usage policy has no set figure on what fair means. 4k streaming all day every day seems fair to me, but that would end up using 100s of GBs per month. Unsustainable. Another marketing hype by My Republic..i mean My Rocket Mobile.

      Agreed.

I hate the fair use bollocks. What's fair use? I wish places were more upfront.

We only limit Hotspot speeds to 1.2Mbps after a plan's Hotspot limit is reached (10GB for Starter, 20GB for Rocket & Plus, and 40GB for Max). We do not throttle users after they exceed 100GB of regular mobile data usage, as long as they adhere to our T&Cs and it's for personal use only. Unlimited mobile data is what we're all about, and we have no plans to change this, even though we have rebranded from MyRepublic.

      • Unlimited fair usage is what you're about, bury it in the terms and conditions, how can unlimited have any sort of cap? It's limited then, isn't it?

  • What network do you use for your services?

  • Anyone with? Are they good?
