    Thanks for the heads up.

If any of you have any listings up right now, you have a few days to edit the end date of the auction to close before or on Saturday so you can relist for the free selling day.

  • Keep in mind when you are listing $1RES stuff once someone bids you can't adjust the description text with more info, can only add images and use Q&A feature. TM call it a safety feature so the page is frozen at the time a valid bid(reserve met) is placed.

To adjust the description you have to ask TM support to remove all bids or have them withdraw the listing and relist it(then contact them again to refund you the success fee after completion).

Many buyers are also hopeless at checking emails so you often can only reach them via the TM messages feature(as they get an app notification etc).

Yep, only list if you know if will sell for alot, so many things sold for a small amount is not worth the time and hassle.

      • Unless it is going to cost more to get the thing removed and disposed of. Eg something really heavy like an old mattress

Can someone make a new platform for us kiwi's to use other than trademe. k thanks

  • can i do $1 reserve with buy now? would it still be free if someone use the buy now in that listing?

    • If you make $1 reserve auction with a buy now someone will always bid before someone can buy now

Not worth it, $1 reserves are like lotto, you may get the value you wanted but most of the time probably not.

      • Yep, it really depends if you want it gone quick while paying no fees or want to wait a few weeks for someone to snap it up at a fixed price and paying ~8% in fees.

Stuff like high end SSD's and Apple products often sell really well $1RES but alot of stuff has minimal demand these days as facebook as taken a huge segment of the market.

  • Can you do $1 reserve and then update the price, will it still be considered free selling or will you get charge for the success fee?

    • no,someone will have to bid to meet the reserve price first
