[WLG] Half Price Monthly Rail/Bus Passes (Price Increasing Sept 1, Pass Purchased August 31st Valid for 30 Days) @ Snapper

150

Not sure whether it's a deal. If not, Admin please delete.

Metlink’s new fares, with new concessions for children and young adults, start Friday 1 September 2023, bringing ‘half price fares for all’ to an end. I've verified with customer service that purchasing a monthly pass before 1st of Sept allows us to continue benefiting from the half-price offer for an additional 30 days. This information isn't published on the website; it's just a hidden bonus.

I guess I will buy the pass on the night of the 31st of August so that I can start using it in September.

    Thanks for sharing OP

Catching train for individual trips >~4 times a week makes it worth it for me.

You can also purchase 2 passes per card.

    • I was wondering about this. Can we buy it on the same day? Or do we need to activate one pass before we get the next one?

      • +1

Unsure, have to assume it uses the oldest first if you have 2 purchased but not activated, but their support would be the best way to find out.

    • Confirmed that I could buy two monthly passes tonight without having to activate any of them today.

  • Do you know if it can be used to pay for multiple people using one snapper?

    • I'm not sure sorry, hopefully someone else could answer this.

    • It's 1 person per card, can't do multiple, at least it's that way on the train, unsure about the bus.
