  • Any trouble getting more than one? Guess depends on who serves ya

    • I'm not in for BK tonight, but I'll grab a couple at some stage this coming week.
Once ordered and paid for I highly doubt the order will be rejected.

If anyone orders multi burgers let us know your experience.

Put through 2 X quantity this afternoon and had no issues, got 2 burgers for $13.90

    • Manage to get 4 in 1 go at 350 Manukau branch.

  • are they good compared to whopper?

    • +2

Whopper is better imo, I find the big king xl a bit bland compared to the whopper. But it is cheaper now with this half price promotion

  • so this burger is better than the big mac as stated in the ads?.

    • +3

It's Burger King's take on the Big Mac, ie similar ingredients from their menu, ie still flame grilled patties, raw onions, crisper lettuce, pickles, American cheese, thousand island dressing, sesame bun (no mid bun though) etc.

It is far far bigger, the Big Mac is 1/5 lb of meat and 2370kj, the Big King XL is 1/2 lb of meat and 4930kj. In other words over double the meat and double the calories.

One bonus is you can change it to rebel patties (vegan) for free

      • Just a note that rebel patties are not vegan - they’re cooked on the same line as the beef so there will be cross contamination.

        • +4

Yuck that also means my meat patties are contaminated by vegan ones jk.

Wow thats a lot of calories

      • +1

No you're wrong. The Big Mac is bigger. 1/5 is larger than 1/2 as 5 is bigger than 2. Duh.

    • I had one last year and thought it was way better then a big mac

  • +1

Had one today, this burger is HUGE compared to BigMac imo, they ran out of secret sauce and replaced mine with mayo/bbq sauce…

    • Same happened to me last week, still was quite good but yeah..

  • +2

Thanks OP, very greasy but totally worth $7

  • What does a Big Mac on its own sell for nowadays… $9.50?

  • Is there anywhere in Burger King NZ that actually grills the burgers like the old days? If you goto Burger King in some countries overseas, the taste is FAR superior because of the fact they proper flame grill it - rather than what seems to be "microwaving" like NZ.

    • +1

The one I had today in Auckland from Westgate had the flame grilled flavour and markings. Was delicious!

      • Nice man - used to love the OG BK Whoppers, all the Wellington BK's don't do it the proper way, really disappointing.

  • Man that was a solid burger! They were out of the sauce so I picked mayo. It was super yummy, HUGE and the patties were properly flame grilled with lots of fresh lettuce, onion and pickles! Awesome deal!

Im usually bks biggest hater, but this was actually very decent and ill go and get another one before the deal ends. Puts a big mac to shame

    • It must be good then. I haven't had one yet, but due to this comment I'm going to grab one tomorrow.

      • +1

Rabid approving something for the first time, wow lol

  • Just tried one today, why I haven't got it earlier.
