You know things are getting bad when people are price matching Mi Goreng on cheapies

    • +1

They used to be $2.50 per 5 pack on special, before the price rises. Inflation of basic food items are really pushing people to the limit.

      • -1

Yea that was my limit, then the Ukraine war and all their wheat exporting issues.

    • Cat litter has gone up 30-40%
It's eating into my noodle budget!

  • Wasnt able to price match with gurpreet - advised you cna only do this instore with a recently warehouse change.

Are they happy to price-match if the competitor is in a different town? Never tried this in-store.

    • +2

yeah i usually avoid pricematching instore because staff are either reluctant (time wasting) or clueless on how to price match. Anyways, these are on clearance @ $3.50

      • I was not actually interested in the Mi Goreng. I'll try something else in store after work. Will post the deal here if I got accepted.

I'm the same, price matching in-store can be painful - if you're nice, usually people don't make things difficult.

      • They change the terms now.

"To price match products (except grocery) online, the product must have the same barcode, be priced on the same day, have the same freight costs, be from a NZ based retailer with a valid NZ website and be delivered from within NZ only."

Has anyone also realise that you are now being charged for click and collect if the store you select don’t have it in stock.. less and less reason to shop at Warehouse

    • Yup. Been discussed here

    • Yea they are changing the rules now, lisa told me "Sorry unfortunately you can only price match grocery items in store"

Just price matched Vogel's in-store at the Nelson TWH to the Manukau PnS store. I picked up six loaves at $2.79 each. Also grabbed a few other essentials like milk and butter etc. Not a problem at all with price promise. Also scanned my app at the counter and the system automatically used my $5 off $50 spend voucher. All in all a good hassle free shopping experience.

    • good man !

    • theres no vogels products at warehouse

      • You're right(ish). Nothing showing online and I'd never seen it in-store before picking up my robofish order last night. Didn't have time last night to muck around with the price promise, so decided to try this morning. They had a total of 10 toast slice loaves in-store. I grabbed 6 of the 10. Because I'd never seen it instore before is why I didn't mention it in the Vogels post I put up a couple of weeks ago.

        • ok yeh there was no vogels bread in the upper hutt store i mananaged to pricematch 10 packets of the noodles just fine though

          • @ggallin: Bugger. Keep your eye out, hopefully they do a range rollout.

  • This just goes to show what a killing they are making on everything

  • Damn these PNS deals are pretty good compared to South Island store, even cheaper than our pre-inflation prices here
