    • Promo code invalid on mine.

Are you talking about the membership key UCEDU123 not working as a promo code?
In that case, it's not a promo code, it's a membership key and needs to be added to your account. Click the link and it will show you how to add it.

    • Also free shipping from PBTech (over $20) with promo code PBGGWP

  • I have the same Belkin surge protector, both USB ports died after about 2 years, but my Huntkey 8 port surge protector which is almost the same age still has working USB ports, it's also cheaper.

      • yes, also got it from PB.

        • seems more expensive $42.87

This is why I'm reluctant to buy one of these ones with built in usb ports, buy one with power only (6 port surge protected ones are <$10), then just get a separate USB single/double/quadruple plug, or use one you already have. In general I trust a single purpose device more than one of these dual purpose ones. Overall price is going to be roughly the same, if not less expensive, and you have more flexibility.

      • also the combined power is divided by the amount of ports when in use

*Powered USB Output: 5V/2.4A maximum combined. Note: Apple devices may charge slower on USB port, 5W maximum per port.

its better to just use a charger than a board with these usb ports, my chromecast/raspberry pi complained (different brand) and i got one with coil whine.
i got a usb hub and i use that to charge my controllers/little things now

      • Well really depends, like I have 2 and they've both been going fine for 6yrs now

But i got Belkin for its warranty the ports a bonus for IoT devices

Also can get GaN chargers now which are way better.

Hopefully Belkin does an upgraded one in future incorporating GaN tech

      • Can you recommend a reputable/reliable brand of surge protector for around the $10 mark?

    • did yo contact belkin? sometimes they may send a replacement

  • Does anyone know if the TCL 40” is good capable of running off 12v?
