This popped up on one of their savings pages, and came up on my Facebook shortly afterward.
Register with Squirrel Savings, use the promo code '100', and if you're one of the first 100 people to sign up, they'll deposit $100 into your investment account. Doesn't look to be anything in the T&C's that you have to leave it there, so I guess you could withdraw it once paid. Unfortunately no way to see in advance if you're going to be in the first 100.
Let me know in comments once $100 is no longer being received and I'll expire deal.
Squirrel's High Interest Call has an annual interest rate of 4.00%, and funds are held on trust with a major bank so it provides a much better rate compared to depositing directly, with similar risk levels (equivalent is 1.95% at ANZ). The account is on-call, meaning you can withdraw your funds at any time and have it transferred to your bank account the same day if you're with a major bank.
Squirrel also offers peer-to-peer lending with varying interest rates ranging from 6.75% to 7.50%, depending on the investment type and term. The platform also operates a secondary market, allowing you to sell your investment if you need to liquidate your funds.
None of the above is financial advice.
Thanks OP, signed up.
