OK, I know nothing of this brand no idea what panel it uses, just came across this deal for an OLED it is an outstanding deal.

Metz - A German brand of OLED TVs that delivers a breathtakingly real visual experience with its state-of-the-art OLED Technology. OLED panel technology delivers unprecedented image quality there are 33 million subpixels in OLED screens, each of which can be individually controlled. To display real black, dark image areas can be turned off with pixel-precise accuracy. This enables previously unachievable levels of black, which also means particularly high-contrast images with lifelike colours. A 10-bit colour depth with significantly finer gradation ensures seamless transitions and bright, natural colour rendering - from every viewing angle and with evenly balanced illumination. The self-illuminating pixels enable an ultra-fast reaction time: the screen reacts more quickly and more fluidly than ever before. Breathtakingly sharp thanks to UHD resolution, with HDR and 10-bit colour depth. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of OLED.

It's not a German company, METZ filed for insolvency in 2014. It's 2 Chinese Companys. The TV business is taken over by the Chinese electronics manufacturer Skyworth as Metz Consumer Electronics.

    • misleading perhaps ?

  • Has anyone done a review of these TVs?

  • I picked up this tv during the last promo for it ended up returning it , it only has 3 HDMI it runs android tv not google tv, panel was nice os was buggy, ended up getting tcl c835 mini led awesome tv

I would just get a Chromecast/CCwGTV or Fire Stick instead.

I always prefer a dumb TV with a separate TV stick over a smart TV. That's because the smart TV features are heavily baked into the TV's OS, they're generally a worse experience than a TV stick, and when the manufacturer cease updates the smart TV features stop working, and navigating the OS become a hinderance when compared to just selecting a HDMI input. You can upgrade the TV stick for not much money every year.

    • How much did you pay for the c835?

About $2000 for the tcl 835 great tv I have a LG c9 in my bedroom and it's pretty close to oled quality was going to get Hisense u8h mini led but had not been released( it's out now at Harvey Norman)

  • If you run a 4k google tv Chromecast it would be ok but then you would have only 2 HDMI for all your other devices, not something I could tolerate for an extended period

    • do people honestly don't get the message of do not buy a cheap and nasty television?

This isn't some super crappy Transonic from yesteryear, the current crop of TWH TVs are decent enough to last a long time.

The quality advantages of having a Sony, Samsung or LG isn't that much now, if these cheaper TVs cost half or less. LCD TV manufacturing a very mature industry, and OLED starting to get there as well. This isn't 2017 where dead/stuck pixels and other defects were more common, when I brought my LG C7.
