How many Z sharetank litres you have got?

I recently started using Z Sharetank just when prices started hitting $3. Just did once before the govt announced slashing 25 cents and then never bothered for sometime. Now thinking that I should have purchased regularly looking at the pump price. Wondering how many litres you have all got and any cheapie way to maximise savings!

Depending on where you live, Chch seems to have one of the cheapest places for fuel (currently $2.78). Get someone you know in Chch to purchase on Sharetank and use it elsewhere?

    I bought about 200l at $2.70. Hoping it'll last a while.

possible tips to maximise savings from share tank

    1. occasionally they offer bonus fuel on larger purchases , used to be everyday then every Friday, (but less frequently recently) but worth to look out for bonus fuel promotion and consider top up on that day.
    2. Consider sharing with (trusted) family and friends who live in an area (of the country) with the cheapest fuel, or top up when you are in the area of cheaper/ cheapest fuel. also use gaspy to guide you (to give you heads up) if you are planning to go out of town, so you can buy on share tank when you are near the cheap fuel location.
    3. while sharetank is inflation proof, but you may miss out the 10 cents off Wednesday, (so something to keep in mind). always pros and cons with any deal.
    4. consider topping up when the short term fuel tax comes off (rather than queuing for fuel on the last day)
    5. the greatest one off benefit is the signing your power to z electric and get an one off of free fuel of 75L with no contract. Do keep in mind that the electricity rates may be higher than contracted rates or the lowest power company (as previously discussed) but you are free to change after getting the sign up bonus. see discussion there..

    • Thank you. That was really helpful!

  • Is there a way simple way I could VPN the my location to Christchurch…?

    • Doesn't it rely on GPS to see the nearest pump.

      • Yes uses GPS, Wont allow Mock locations either.

        • What happens when you set a mock location? I've never had any trouble with it on other apps.

          I use fakegps on android.

          • @Bill: It checked if the option has been enabled and wont allow you to purchase.
Then also wont ever let you top up when plugged into any charger.

Suspect need to be rooted to bypass the check

            • @rkl: I have no idea what you mean, I've never used the sharetank app, I'll do a little investigating now.

@Bill: I just tried Location Changer App yeah it doesn't let you buy any if you turn it on, it said spoofing you location is against our t&c, turn it off to continue

                • @doubledippps: I managed to get that as well, wasn't able to bypass.

An emulator would be for using programs to bypass that don't work on android, but I'm not sure what would work.

    • I used Android emulator some time ago. Had to change settings so it wasn't "charging".

      • What do you use the emulator for? I do a search on Playstore I only found 1 call Virtual Android, do you think we can use this for a Uber Eat new account?

        • I am asuming its on his computer, rather than on the handset it self.

          • @OmgItsHeaven: Use Z App on his computer with emulator & change location to get purchase sharetank to work?

@doubledippps: Basically yeah. Something emulator are good at micmicking and bypassing anti-"whatever" measures.
