The Low Quantity Thread

Limited Quantity

If your deal has limited quantity, please mention it in the description. If the quantity is too small then your deal may be removed. As a guideline, less than 10 quantity of items is not enough for a deal unless the item has a high price.

This is the thread for these deals.

        • Bought them on behalf of the church to replace the old projectors. Probably won't see the price again as Samsung has disabled code stacking now.

    • I've asked Sony to price match around 11pm.
Checked the Heathcotes link again just now, it's no longer valid: "Uh, oh… looks like we took a wrong turn."

Anyone successfully ordered one from Heathcotes?

Yup. got same response from Sony

Same here. Thought it was worth a try!

Hard to believe such a massive pricing error can occur in this day and age…

        • Yep, Sony price matched got cancelled of obvious reason.
Was a little hopeful I can upgrade from my 75" X95L and give it to mum.

$1.49 Heartland Smokey T's Applewood Smoked Chicken Extreme Crunch Potato Chips 140g

    • We tried the Mousetrap flavour, and they were seriously greasy - more than any other chips I can recall ever having. You really had to have a napkin to wipe your fingers after every chip, and one napkin was not enough!

Put us off the Heartland brand forever it was that bad.

      • +1

I found them no different to most other kettle style chips

        • I found them no different to most other kettle style chips

Never had the 'greasiness' issue with any other kettle chips at all - just the Heartland ones.

Might have been a bad batch, but it put us off them completely, and even if it was just one batch, it still makes you wonder about their quality control in general.

          • @Alan6984: Might be flavour issue, haven you tried normal ones like sea salt, salt and vinegar etc
they're much the same as other kettle style brands iirc

Yep - you're right, it could be.

We just tried the Mousetrap ones, and decided never going near that brand again :-)

LDV eT60 electric double cab ute. 2024 Ex demo Asking $29,990.

Not an amazing vehicle (motor unsprung, mounted directly on the rear solid axle), but at this price point a lot can be forgiven. Same price as a high spec Suzuki Swift, for a an electric ute would have be unthinkable a few years back.

    https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/ldv/et60/listing/520…

    • $24,990 now

      • The link I had is expired, so kicks to the general LDV eT60 list.

If I recall rightly there was a used (~2022) eT60 that was asking around 25k, which no longer appears to be listed.

As of 5:48pm, the below is the cheapest at $29,990

        https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/ldv/et60/listing/520…

    Free office chairs.

3x formway life & ~5 regular blue office chairs.

The Formway life chairs usually sell for $300+ used, but these examples are in extremely poor condition (rips in seat and backrest). Blue chairs are in better condition.

I am a big fan of the formway life chairs, but we already have two at home in much better condition.

Would be great for somebody who wants a proper $1000+ ergonomic office chair, but has no budget and doesn't care about aesthetics.

Sitting in the Lobby of Tri Star Gymnastics in Mt Roskill, with a free sign taped to them. Last week their were 4 of the Formway life, so only one taken over the past week…

    • Any left pls let me. Know

      • I only go their on Mondays, so don't know. You could try your luck at a phone call and ask if they still have any of the free office Chairs in their lobby (you would be doing them a favor taking away what otherwise is trash), or just try your luck by visiting.

As I mentioned only 1x of the formway life was taken the prior week, so your odds are OK.

Smiths City selling off old and ex-display stock, phones, tv's, soundbars, audio components and more

Most of the products are only available in-store, and I'm guessing they're only in some stores not all of them, but some are available online like the 55" Samsung qn85d QLED for $1477 ($2345 on sale at Harvey Norman) https://www.smithscity.co.nz/tv-and-audio/television/qled-te…

Panasonic 55" Z85A OLED 4K HDR Smart TV with Fire TV $1657 ($2400+ from other stores)
    https://www.smithscity.co.nz/tv-and-audio/television/oled-te…
    65" for $2077 - both in-store only

Audio Technica turntable for $260.60 that other places have for $330+
    https://www.smithscity.co.nz/tv-and-audio/video-and-home-cin…

    • Seems solid, thoughts on buying a tv thats probably been on 247?

      • As long as the OLED's haven't been displaying a static image anywhere on the screen then they should be fine, and whenever I've been in stores they always show moving images never static ones. The QLED's should be all good as they're near impossible to burn images into the screen either way (I think Samsung offer a 10 year warranty against burn in), as for the other components, I don't know, things break, you could buy a new tv that blows up after a week or a 2nd hand one that lasts you for the next 20 years, it's just luck of the draw if or when they break for you or not. You should be covered by the manufacturers full warranty anyway, plus you'll have the comcom to fall back on if anything goes wrong with them within a reasonable amount of time after the warranty period has ended.

      • +1

Will be on at least 8hrs a day. On the store mode (which puts the LEDs at full brightness).

I'd debate whether the price they are offering them at is actually a good enought deal.

Some may have how long they have been on for in the maintenance menu, so worth checking how to access that if you were considering it. I'd be looking hard at the picture too.

How much better are the most expensive ones over the basic vitality ones? Massive price difference but I struggle to see how it can really be that different functionality.

      • +4

I have used both high end & low end ones. Not much difference I feel compared to how much you pay for it. Main thing to consider is type of battery, highly recommend li-ion battery. Secondly replacement heads. Mid-range ones are ideal. App support is totally useless/gimmick to an extend.

            • +1

@Supadupa: Sorry was a busy day for me. There would not have been much left that late in the day. They were advertising it pretty well from early in the morning to those that headed to the tool area. I got in early in the week when it wasn't' advertised and came back for more when I got permission to spend more. Only having one of each thing made the good stuff go quickly. I came away with over $5500 of tools for $1600. Dewalt drop saw, table saw and thickness planer and some other tools too. Some have bits missing but most things I got looked complete enough or I can make or source the bits I need elsewhere.

              • @HighvoltageRuss: Wow, what a great steal. A Dewalt mitre saw, table saw and thicknesser is exactly what I’d be aiming for as well. Good job on picking them all up. May do a trip to the Mount maybe. I’ll give them a call. Thanks for the info.

    • +2

I have heard that the Mount store is possibly doing the same thing by the 9th April so could be worth going to check it out if anyone is over that way. Would need to talk to the tool area head there. I could be wrong on the location there though but could get someone here a bargain. If I hear any more I'll post an update. They are doing it in a few of the larger stores in various regions. Re-design of the tool area and removing the corded displays etc.

          • +4

@Jizah: TBH, I knew he meant Mount Maunganui because we don't usually call mount suburbs just "mount" here in AKL as it would be ambiguous but I just had to ask since I am close to the Mt. Wellington store and was feeling lucky.
