The Low Quantity Thread

See New Post for Year 2025 onwards.

Limited Quantity

If your deal has limited quantity, please mention it in the description. If the quantity is too small then your deal may be removed. As a guideline, less than 10 quantity of items is not enough for a deal unless the item has a high price.

This is the thread for these deals.

            • @thats mum life: It was riccarton. I was going to try pap afterwards but they wouldn't pick up the phone.

        • nice was that the Giant XL you got? i was thinking of buying too but i think it might of been too big for me.

Yep I was just coming here to post about the ebikes. They're only available in certain stores however. https://www.torpedo7.co.nz/shop/bike/electric-bikes?formActi…

      • Which one?

        • I purchased one which has now dropped off the site so must have been the last one. Each bike is in a different store really. There was one I really liked the look of in Dunedin and I’m chch based so was trying to work out how I could get it up here.

      • Worthy of a deal post if you're up for it.

        • Only very limited numbers and sizes throughout the country.

          • @wowbigdeal: Yep you’d have to mention the location for each product mentioned

Still waiting for the Boxing day sale. Prefer the 4060 or 4070 one.

    • any cheap 4080s, is it worth waiting for boxing day or should I just bite the bullet now?

      • +1

i would wait till boxing day/ new year they were alot cheaper in Oct but the prices have gone up.
might want to keep an eye on the exchange rate too.

      • 4070 ti for $1349, plus a "free" $300 keyboard and 3 months xbox game pass

        https://www.computerlounge.co.nz/shop/components/graphics-ca…

Not the deal of the century but it's less ridiculous than what other places are asking. Probably worth it if you like the keyboard. Also applies to a few more expensive cards as well.

    • Only two available.

never tried, i have a b/w laser printer and i dont want to waste my toner printing an image.

I personally wouldn’t pay any more than $3 for them. It’s a frozen product for convience. Cant expect a lot.

      • I've had the beef ones and they're a solid quick lunch option - microwave them for a couple of minutes and then a quick crisp in a pan.

    • I used the powerpass app price scanner in store and it's showing full price 😔

    • Does anyone know if theyre $2.50 in store? Does it scan as $2.50?

          • @P0KEMON: How do you go about setting up a monitoring link? Following.

            • +2

@victor47: I use visualping, they have chrome and firefox extensions. Used it successfully when boringmilk had that free promo thing a while back. There could be a faster and more efficient way to monitor links though, not much of a coder myself

            • +1

@victor47: There are other good ones aside from VisualPing. PageCrawl.io is good, so is onwebchange.com and that's actually one of the cheapest and most bang for your buck service out there. I know because I monitor a lot of stuff myself and have researched and tested a lot of them. Even created my own tools for monitoring other things that aren't easily monitored, such as checking whether the cheapest price for e.g. Z across the whole country on Gaspy has dropped below a certain price target and if yes, notify me and do other things.

              • @NovaAlpha: What language did you use to create your own tools? keen to give it a go

                • +3

                  @P0KEMON: Depends.

                  Python, Autohotkey, Selenium, Playwright, etc.

On my phone, it'd mostly be either MacroDroid or Tasker. I can automate clicking into things, checking and scanning data, getting data via API calls, etc. There's no one set tool for the job and you can't run all the tools on all platforms. For example, Gaspy is an Android app and naturally languages like Python won't be able to interface with it, since you don't run it natively on Windows (although you could run Gaspy in an emulator running on Windows). In cases like this, don't complicate things and just use MacroDroid or something to check the contents. It's quite powerful.

As another example, if I want to be notified ONLY when it is going to rain AND at specific times (I don't care if it rains in midnight as I'll be asleep) AND when the % of chance of rain is > 40%, then I can do this on MacroDroid as well. I can query via openweathermaps.org using a free API key, then parse the results and get a notification and a voice announcement on my phone, etc. You can do heaps of stuff with it.
