Can you explain this a bit more OP because the title is confusing.

    Buy S22 ultra, get $500 Samsung e-voucher, 5% rewards? @ Samsung NZ
    - and $200 from JB Hi-Fi or is that a separate deal?

Edit - I get it now.

  • +1

Apologies for the multiple edits. I got confused because the links you had in the description were going to products that only got a $100 coupon at JB Hi-Fi. Your original title focused on the Ultra, so I've edited it to reflect that. Feel free to change it though OP.

So every retailer seems to have their own promotion on the S22 Ultra, and you can take your pick between them?

Looks like Samsung’s own promotion takes the cake with $500 + possibly extra $200 in vouchers.

    :)

    • Yes, pity the watches are out of stock.
      Will they restock ?

      • Their stocks been a total mess with things coming and going in and out of stock, it's anyone guess if they will come back in this week. Don't bother contacting the estore as they just don't respond and aren't helpful in the slightest.

You can just go to a Samsung kiosk if there's one bear you. I've ended up doing that today and they had most things in stock to give you there and then and you'll come back for the phone. A good option so you can sell the watch before the online orders flood the marketplace 🤣

        • Does more better deals come along or is this the best launch deals ?

I'd rather buy a classic watch , would be nice if you could switch models in bundles

          • @Joe: I think this is still the best I've seen as it offers good value and choice.

The $300 voucher can be applied to other certain items, just experiment with the store putting what you want in the basket and seeing what it does. You don't have to add them from the bundle page that comes up to use the voucher. This was useful when they ran out of black earbuds as it sold the bundle out but you could add different colours and still get the offer going this route.

  • What can the $500/$300 e voucher be used for?

    • samsung terms and conditions in the first link

    • +1

you can see when you order the phones on the Samsung website. Just add to order on the Samsung website andit gives you some options.

  • For the noels offer for example id wait a day or two. Normally they change them in the first couple hours to match competitors

    • Pb's non cash offer looks the best to me and yeah they tend to change theirs later to be competitive
Ps if you buy from PB select a random salesperson in the checkout page it will make their day :)

      • +1

It's a tad unfair as I think Aaron appears first, wonder what he gets?

        • I thought the $200 off + $300(regular S22 256GB) worth of samsung accessories (charger, cases etc useful stuff) would be worth more than UE boom/watch4 classic?

          • @brownie1: I was meaning the Ultra deal but realistically shop around and get what you need buds watch etc.

        • If no one is selected no one gets the "Sale". But if you have had good service with a certain rep in the past select them they will appreciate it.

        • +2

His parents intended this when naming him

      • How does it make their day exactly? :)

        • I'm assuming it is commission on the sale

          • @bigcheese: Yes else it goes into void effectively
This is a commission from Samsung fyi

            • @[Deactivated]: Oh ok so all sales-people get commission from Samsung. Good to know. Funny if we chose someone that has left the company lol.

      • Any insider info on this?

When i worked for (competitor) getting random sales (normally from people just walking up and asking for iphones) they could fudge up your numbers depending on the price

        • What do you mean?

        • as a salesperson they're targeted in ways that a low margin / no add on / no warranty (big one) sale isnt really wanted (at least at one of the big guys)

If its a quieter store and/or a quiet time getting 2x iphones with no warranties can mess your numbers for the rest of the day and then you get in some trouble.

          • @CheapThingsAreNice: Ah i see that could hurt but like not your fault and if the retailer punishes you for poor customer activity that's scummy

  • I pre-registered my interest for the phone for that $200 voucher? ( not sure if it was a voucher). Does anyone know where I might find it?

    • +1

Posted on original thread but GALAXYS22 at checkout gives the additional $200. Not sure if it only works for those who registered or everyone

      • +1

Can confirm that GALAXYS22 works, thanks!

        • So does that mean you can 'order' $700 worth of extras? Or is the $200 for another purchase later?

          • +1

@OBH: The $200 off is off the purchase price and the $500 is credit to use on accessories when you checkout

            • @joshalicious: Thanks. That's a pretty tempting deal in that case…

  • The offer from Samsung is really good! Could get S22 128GB + Galaxy Watch 4 (40mm) [FREE] for $1,099 after applying the GALAXYS22 voucher.

Unfortunately the discounted Galaxy Watch 4 ($300) is out of stock (can still purchase without discount for $399 - $99 after the $300 E-Voucher)

    • +1

If you add the watch to cart first you can get it for $300. I was going to do that but black is out of stock

      • Legend! thank you

      • +4

Thanks a ton for the tip! Seems to be the best deal so far! Education store has been updated with the S22 being sold for $1,039.20 after 20% discount and bonus leather case but doesn't work with the bonus $200 off saying "The code you entered did not affect your order. Please note, codes may only be valid for certain items or in certain conditions."

        • I was just trying this. Same error

        • Education store include any $300 e voucher?

          Or is this it?

S22 being sold for $1,039.20 after 20% discount and bonus leather case

          • +2

@justaddwater: Just the 20% discount and free leather case on the Education store. No $300 e-voucher sadly so yeah a much worse deal when you don't get that or the $200 discount code

            • @dww13126: Hi, is the $1,039.20 Educational Store price for 128GB or 256GB? Thanks~

              • +1

@Mico: Sorry should have mentioned that also, the $1,039.20 price was for the 128GB model on the education store. Definitely wouldn't recommend it over the free Galaxy Watch deal. Cheers

                • +1

@dww13126: Hey thanks. Would you know how much the 256GB would be on the Education Store?
Btw, I reckon depends on that person's need. For example, I just wouldn't use a bulky smart watch so a straight up cash discount would be ideal for people like me. (I understand you can sell the watch but it's a bit of a hassle and you would get RRP for it).

                  • +1

@Mico: Yeah fair point! I have a feeling Trademe and Facebook Market Place will be flooded with people selling un-needed accessories further lowering the price you can get for resale Hahaha. The prices from the Education Store for the 256GB S22 model is $1,119.20 and also comes with the same Leather Case included ($89.00 retail but $44.50 value on the Education Store as all accessories are 50% off there) Probably the the only advantage I would say the Education store has is the accessory prices like cases which are all around 50% off, would get a case from there but might need to use regular Samsung Store once the 5% reward points process as they dont appear to be valid on the Education Store.

                    • +3

@dww13126: Thanks. It was $979 for the S21 256GB Education Price. (Just FYI)
I would still go for the Education Price for S22 if I am to get one.
Typo on previous reply, I was meant to say "you wouldn't get RRP" for the watch lol (Like you said, FB market and TM will be flooded with them)

                      • +2

@Mico: Yeah kinda sucks that they completely nerfed the pricing with the education pricing last year being 30% with the release of the S21 and this year only being 20% with the S22 :( Yeah fair choice although I wouldn't feel too pressured into preordering until seeing how the new chips handle in these phones (Given how many complaints about throttling in Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips, Exynos 2200 also using the same Samsung 4nm process will probably mean it's going to have the same, if not worse heating problems) not sure if the PB Tech S22 specs info are correct but it seems to imply we are getting the Snapdragon version which is a bit weird given every other S series have launched here with Exynos. All goods, didn't even notice the typo until you mentioned haha :)

                        • @dww13126: I see Samsung deals finish in 4 days
Does more better deals come along or is this the best launch deals ?

I'd rather buy a classic watch , would be nice if you could switch models in bundles

  • 2 degrees offering 6 months sky sports package on 60$ plans and above and also "upto" $600 off when you trade in your "eligible" old phone

Man, those 2 degrees discounts of $400 off the price they used to offer made it that much cheaper. Guess cheapies like me who bought the phones on 24 month term, got the phone and the discount and cancelling the plan after the discount put them off !

    • are you actually able to cancel the plan after getting the phone? I always thought that you cannot cancel the plan during that 24 month term?

      • +1

You can, but you pay the full price of the phone (minus the discount) in one full payment.

  • Cannot order it, after enter cc detail it keeps saying "We are sorry but your transaction could hot be completed at this time.".
    Anyone have the same issue?

    • Where do you see this? Samsung or any other store websites?

      • Order from Samsung online.

        • which type of credit card did you use?

          • @alder: ANZ credit card. And I just used it to order from another website.

            • +1

@hello1111: I have the same issue, using American Express.

              • @alder: Looks like a samsung issue…

              • @alder: Same but I think they just don’t accept Amex which I think is odd cause surely they could stomach the fees?

  • +1

@baishishun - Just wanted to point out that Harvey Norman is not giving $150 credit, they are giving $100 for the S22/S22+

  • If you have an S21 Ultra you can possibly get $790 off the S22 Ultra - Samsung NZ trade in deal - this is also offered on the Ed site

    • +1

Can probably sell it for more on TradeMe. Still retails new for $1500+

  • +1

Is there actually much difference between the S21 and S22, other than a newer CPU?

    https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=11253&idPhone…

I was keen, but hard to justify when there isn't much new.

    • I'd say not much difference if you already have the s21 other than the CPU. I'm not a big fan of Exynos and I'm going from S10 so its a decent upgrade..

  • 25% off from samsung partner store, i have added in the post.

    • how to go to Samsung partner store link?

    • I am also curious how you've got the partner store .. you're the only other cheapie i know of to have access to it

      • +1

AIA Vitality partner store is 25% off

        • ah, interesting. I have the Samsung Family Value Program, EPP Store. Discount varies per product, but S22 is 25%

    • Samsung EPP store is 25% off + free leather cover.

      • I guess not all partners are same, education is only 20% off.

      • +1

Do you mean the SME partner site here https://shop.samsung.com/nz/business/S22? The S22 Ultra 256GB is $1,679.20 and says 20% off, not 25%? Is there a way the great unwashed like us can get access to the EPP/25%?

      • what's the URL for samsung EPP store?

cant'f find it on google, I know it's a work thing, but just wondering if there's a public url

        • +1

          https://shop.samsung.com/nz/multistore/fnf/senzepp1_fnf/logi…

This is what I use, not sure if there is another link. Samsung employees are getting 30% of directly but friends and family is 25%.

          • @TooFast: Thanks I tried the link and get:

"Please enter your company’s employee code to verify your Samsung account

            Access code
Please enter a valid employee code"

            Anyone have a code?

            • @mastersm: The code changes periodically i have managed to guess a few of them for other businesses one of which is a major supermarket chain
PS some EPP's also have appliances for crazy prices

              • @[Deactivated]: Thanks any suggestions on what the Samsung one might be?

                • @mastersm: According to Google, Countdown is a longtime partner of Samsung, but I can't guess the code

    • Is it possible to be both members of Samsung Partner Store, AND Samsung Education Store?

Do they cancel out each other, if I am eligible for both and register on both?

  • How do the rewards points work, as in how much are they worth?

It says 5% so on a $1100 that would be 55 points. Do they equate to 1 point=$1 or is that going to be some token amount like 10 points=$1 so you're earning a whopping $5 after all this. In the states it says they are worth $0.005 which would be less than 30 cents back.

    • +1

      It's 5% back in points, so $1000 is 5000 points, worth $50.

      • If that's the case I won't be bothering with something like the air tags and will use the $300 on something on the more expensive side like the buds or a watch. A wireless charger would have been nice but I think I'd use the buds more as I already have a load of chargers. The only reason I'm considering moving to Samsung is so I can actually continue to use the damn things.
