Let the cheapies tradition of price beating andgetting extra gift cards begin

    • +1

Last year I got declined at 3 different stores in auckland. It was either price beat or gift cards.

      • +3

This year ask for their name and email so you can cc them on on your complaint to comcom :)

        From their FAQ (https://www.mitre10.co.nz/price-guarantee):

Can I use Mitre 10’s Price Guarantee when Mitre 10 is running a promotion – for example, a free store card promotion.

        Yes.

        • That is handy. Thanks

  • Anyone know if this is in store only, or are online purchases eligible?

    • +1

I got vouchers with my online purchase last year.

  • was keen to get a Weber but sucks the ones Mitre 10 sells don't come with a temp gauge :/

    • Which one are you after?

      • Was looking at the Family Q with the temp gauge like the one below

        https://outdoorconcepts.co.nz/collections/weber-bbq/products…

        • I've done my share of time with Q series. They are fine however if you have even a small family or group of friends that you do bbqs with, they're most definitely too small. Get at least Spirit II with the side burner, you can thank me later :)

    • you sure? i bought a weber from m10 previously and it came with a temp gauge

      • Only Weber specialists sell with the temp gauge. Mitre 10 isn’t classed as a specialist.

        • temp gauge as in the thermometer installed on the lid right? is that for both the gas and charcoal range? bought mine at m10 westgate when they had the triple or double air points promo and it came with the thermo

          • @F armer: Sorry I just know this is true for the Q range. Some of the other Weber range do have them as well. Good point.

    • The temp gauge isn't as useful (or accurate) as you might think. I only use mine to tell if my Weber is hot enough or not, although putting your hand near it will tell you the same thing for free.

  • Can you buy with a gift card and get more gift cards back? Doesn't seem excluded under the Ts&Cs

    • I don’t think so. See the third bullet point on this post: Store Card offer not applicable on purchases of phone cards, gift cards, made to order product or special orders.

      • +1

That says you can't buy gift cards and get bonus gift cards from the purchase.

I'm asking if you can buy stuff (not gift cards) using gift cards you already have, and get the bonus gift cards from this deal.

… I'll stop saying "gift cards" now 😁

        • No exclusions on payment methods so yes.

  • If I make online order at 00:01am of 26/Dec/2021, would I be able to get gift card? It says "Only on boxing day", so wondering if anybody has an experience like that. I need one thing to buy, but it has limited stock. So, thinking of click and collect to grab it.

    • +1

i dont see why you woudn't. Otherwise a complaint to the com com would be appropriate.

Word of warning went in today after ordering online yesterday (26th) for click and collect. They had received an email it was for cash and eftpos only transactions done in store on the 26th and not online orders on the 26th.
I showed them the screenshots of it online, and the t&cs and nowhere did it say in store only or excludes online etc. They honoured it in the end. I work service so I promise I didn't Karen but was able to show them and they agreed and honoured.
I have the screenshots of the online promo and the t&cs if anyone needs them (not sure how to post a photo sorry) but just in case anyone gets a bit stuck the poor frontline workers were told directly that it excluded online.

    • I made an online order yesterday for delivery. I could do with your screenshots if you’re able to post them please?

      • Not sure how to post them. I'll try message you :)

        • +1

Hmmm you might have messaging off as I can't send anything to your profile. :(
If you email me [email protected] I'll reply with them just in case

    • Picked up my order yesterday (made order at 12:06 am) and they had the gift cards in the sealed bag with the invoice. This was Mitre10 Glenfield. Excellent service

      • That's so good to hear!!!! Mine took like half an hour of convo. Well done Glenfield!

  • How often do they do this type of promo? I wish I had purchased some philips hue stuff. Get them to price beat Bunnings by 15%, then another $15 back in vouchers. I didn't even think of doing this, I only got 15% off on black friday.

    • This is normally their boxing day promo
