When cancelling, accept the switch to annual and then switch back to monthly and expiry date should shift.

I got the free trial nearly a month ago to take advantage of Black Friday sales lightning deals, now I can extend trial and use for boxing day sales 😁 (on ozbargain, potentially you can use extension trick for 6 months)
Amazon prime video has also been surprisingly good as well…

FAQ:

  • No Prime delivery unless its Australian Address (You will need Au address to sign up for trial) currently shipping to NZ is free over $59 AU on most items for all users anyway. https://www.cheapies.nz/node/31093
  • Early Access to lightning deals on Amazon AU.
  • Access to Amazon prime video (similar to Netflix, this alone is worth it for the trial)
  • Special prime discounts (there was extra 20% off certain lego sets above discounted prices during black friday)
  • There was $10 AUD free amazon credit after first transaction as prime member (not sure if still available)
  • Amazon prime gaming, free games you can claim as well as in game loot.

      Yes, need Aus address to sign up otherwise it has an error. But only needed at sign up, you can default your shipping address to NZ and use the site as you normally would. You can also watch amazon prime video, I didn't have any issues with access, didn't need VPN etc.

        So can you just use a random AUS address when signing up and default the shipping address to NZ and it would be free shipping to NZ?

      You just don't get the prime delivery, you can use Aus address to sign up but you can just ship to NZ (delivery cost isn't that bad.. Currently it's free for most items when cart is over $59),

      For prime you get access to amazon deals and you can watch amazon prime video. Also when I signed up before black Friday sales they have $10 credit off first purchase… End of day its free trial for a month which I have extended for another month. On ozbargain, they said you potentially can keep doing this trick up to 6 months….. I already got alot of benefit from a free trial 😜

          Early access to lightning deals, great for sale period as most of the good deals especially during blavk Friday are usually 100% claimed early by prime users.

          Amazon prime video which is similar to netflix. I have watched this alot already!

          During black Friday week there was alot of specials exclusive for prime including extra 20% of some lego sets in cart additions to deals, some sets I bought at 50+% discount.

          Also had free $10 AUD on first transaction.

          And I haven't paid a cent for the trial… so yes I had alot of benefit from it.

    Seems like this loophole has been fixed. No longer shifting the expiry date.
