  • I know i said Dell took their time with monitor delivery before, but I jumped the gun and bought this monitor on 21/10 and got delivered yesterday. So yeah, i may have to eat my words before, or one of the other may just have been a true freak accident.

    • This one is in stock in NZ hence the fast shipping. Certain monitors are from overseas and are made to order. Specifically the one that says about 1 to 2 months delivery times.

    • Nope, it really depends on if Dell has stock or not which is ready to ship. Their ETA delivery time frame is pretty pointless. Helped a friend order 2x 24" monitors which had 2 weeks delivery time frame ended up being 2 months still nothing, then got told to wait another month at that point I just had the entire order cancelled. They told me it takes a long time due to monitors were MADE TO ORDER.

I ended up placing another order for 2x 27" monitors which had a delivery time of 3-5 business days and they both arrived within a week.

    • Mine took nearly 2 months to be shipped June this year.
I think the timeframe depends on how many stocks left in their Australian warehouse.

  • my U3219Q said 3-4 months delivery time but has arrived in NZ airport this morning. Ordered 22/10

  • +1

Purchased 2x MS3422DWGNZ for $1.35k on the 18th of October. I had to order through live chat because i was having card issues. They told me it was available for dispatch on the 19th of October (i.e. immediately). Now the tracking has updated and the expected delivery is 6th of December. I reached out and they said it was part shortages and sent me a list of approx 4 monitors that were in stock for delivery of less than 2 weeks. Really annoying/poor.

  • Question, looking at buying a second monitor for my Dell XPS 13. Haven't had to buy a monitor for a little while so have been out of the loop. Other than the lack of dongle use, is it worth forking out the extra for a USB-C monitor vs a HDMI monitor?

Just out of interest, generally with gaming monitors, other than the much higher refresh rate, how else do they differ to 'standard' monitors?

    Thanks

    • If you like minimalist setup, you’d love USB-C with power delivery. Essentially you’ll just have one power cable for the monitor that goes down to the power socket. And monitor will power your laptop. I’ve this setup and quite like it.

  • Be sure to research VA panel and don’t regret later. Didn’t fit my purpose, I went with another model with IPS.
