Origin of this code on Cheapies

Wasn't officially posted as an offer (original deal was different) so think you're all good on this one.

  • If anyone needs it, use my coupon ROPDA44ZC before 1 November.

    • This one isn't working for me

      • same

      • me neither

      • me too, says No matching Coupon found

  • Does anyone else have a coupon they aren't using please? I am a Market member but didn't receive a coupon :(

    • I could be wrong, but I thought those codes were account specific?

Maybe re-check your email (spam folders)?

      Alan.

  • Is it down? Can’t seem to access the site..

Edit: all good now, thanks for the code!

Was in the middle of placing my order when their website crashed. And now it says that I have already used the coupon. So annoyed right now.

    • Can't remember when or where, but that has happened to be before, and I was very annoyed too.

I suspect I just wouldn't purchase from whoever it was until I forgot about it (so maybe, fifteen minutes in my case).

      Alan.

  • worked for me, waited for the birthday coupon, but dind't turn up, bought a 2T external hardrdrive. thank you.

  • Please edit post. There is no cashback for the time being

Cheapies is putting the Cashback link there, not OP.

      • It can't be removed?

        • I can't remove it, it is up to the site Admin to remove it.

Strongly discourage anyone from using the market. My item never arrived after waiting for a month. I recommend going to your desired merchant directly. You save a little by using coupons like this with the market, but honestly, its not worth the trouble, they are useless

I have been using The Market regularly and never had these issues. Sometimes the shipping delay is from the third party seller especially those from Australia.

    • Bit of a bummer. Was it an overseas item? I've done over 25 orders and have had a good experience overall. Some items that were coming from Australia were cancelled a week after I made the order, but everything else arrived alright. Can't remember what shipping times were like though.

    • Never had an issue with them and received many packages from even their 3rd Party overseas suppliers and everything has been prompt with shipping codes and everything.

What did you buy that didn't get delivered or the supplier so we can look out for that specific merchant.

    • If its overseas and if you're in Auckland, there's massive delays atm

A package from pbtech (head office in Auckland) to my brother in Auckland took a week (timed from once the label was created and ready for pickup) meanwhile a package I sent to him around the same time arrived in 3 days.

Purchases I got from AliExpress in the beginning of August going to me in Welly arrived last month (about 6-8weeks), meanwhile my brother's which were ordered the same time for Auckland is yet to get them

Been using the market ever since it's launched and haven't had any issues really but your issue is still valid in saying that.

But the postage and shipping side of things is currently a big mess everywhere, so yes if you're in a rush to get your stuff go into store where you can.

    • I have made multiple orders and never had any trouble. Items from smaller overseas shops have taken longer sometimes but otherwise it is excellent.

  • Question for the people - anyone know what the logic is with some stores showing limited products on the Market compared to their own online store e.g. The Warehouse?

    • Even if the store is in TWG group, it's not a good look for the store or business unit if a hot item is sold out quickly because of sales from The Market rather than your own, especially if you're sacrificing walk-in sales where you can upsell extras like extended warranties.

      • Yup exactly

        Also Re TWG
I'm assuming market is being run as a separate company that's running from their warehouse/storage site (which has all the goods from TWG) kinda like mightyape (was/is?)
So while they have access to all the stock for TWG performance and financials still matter for the other stores hence stock allocations of certain amounts.

TheMarket is basically Nz's version of Amazon, TWG is setting themselves up before big business/chains like Amazon/Costco etc get into NZ's market
