Apparently Sennheiser is doing a promotion at the moment in both Oz and NZ with HD800S, Addicted to Audio NZ is also having these headphones discounted to NZ$1699, but since Minidisc.com.au does ship to NZ, so it's better deal to buy them from there.

But I'm not sure if you will be hit with GST & duties etc when they are arriving here. Maybe people can share their experience with Australia Post.

    Anything over NZ$1000 (including shipping) you will be charged GST & duty & handling fee by NZ customs. So in this case it's cheaper to buy from NZ.

      Guessing youve never used professional grade headphones before? If you want cheaper but still amazing quality, Id suggest the Senn HD600. Would need something to power 300 ohms though.
