Harvey Norman Genoapay $50 off with $150+ spend

190

Spend $150+ in Harvey Norman and pay with Genoapay and get $50 taken off your payment.

Also available to lesser degrees on other affiliated stores:

Post any deals you can think of!

Off the top of my head - Apple Pencil 2 would be as good a price you can get with this discount.

Sounds too good. Any catch? Anything to worry about besides "pay on time!"?

    • +1

Used them before 3-4x before, pretty much pay on time or pay off straight away and you're good.

I usually always make sure I have the funds to buy outright, go in buy the stuff and either pay it off straight after or trickle in the amount before payment date.

    • These new pay-later companies all take a cut from the merchant, no need to be sneaky with fees or anything.

  • Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Carpet Shampooer
    Current price: $659

This is what I'm going to try:
Go in-store and talk to a sales rep for price match.
    https://www.forlongs.co.nz/product/catalogue/cleaning-laundr…
    $599

If successful, use Genoapay at the counter. The final price comes down to $549. According to pricespy, it was the new sale price this year.

Keen to have one so that we can get the house cleaned up before Christmas.

    • Since HN doesn't officially advertise price match, it's all up to the sales rep you talk to I guess.

      • I've found them to be very happy to price match when I've asked them previously

  • If anyone wants a wireless gaming keyboard

G915 is pretty damn good been using the linear version for the past 6 months or so
    Charge it once a week (@50% brightness ~136hrs, @75% ~88hrs )

Can price match with Jbhifi who have it for $279 (Cheapest according to pricespy)
    https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/gaming-keyboards/logitech-g915-lightspeed-wireless-rgb-mechanical-gaming-keyboard-gl-tactile/369728/?q=G915&idx=NZ_PRODUCTS_price_low_high&dFR[Brand][0]=LOGITECH%20G&

The two shops online show only GL Tactile Model: 4547762 for the full keyboard
But I'm sure JB has the other ones at same price probably in store

It would bring it down to $229

  • Fyi if you are not a NZ Resident you cannot sign up with Genoa Pay unlike other payment providers

    • I'm on a student visa and I'm able to use Genoapay. Did they change?

From what I read, Humm is the one that only allows NZ Residents.

And I use Genoapay, Laybuy, Zip and Afterpay.

      • We require document identity verification to ensure your account is secure.

Your identity document MUST be a New Zealand passport or New Zealand drivers licence. If you only have overseas identity documents, you will be unable to use Genoapay.

        • I have a nz driver license. So that's why

  • A gift card?

    • gift cards are excluded, unlike last time :(

      • where does it say that, i cant even find the terms for this promo

        • when you try to checkout with gift cards, the option for genopay is not there.

@huffboy: ah ok that sinks the free shipping trick

  • any idea if this will work with pre-orders? thinking of getting apple watch series 7

    Would this work in store?

    • Should work on anything as long as a payment is made for things at checkout $150+

So if HN is accepting pre-orders and letting you pay for it in store now then yeah theoretically it should work

    • Yeah I preordered the new PS5 headset using Genoapay.

  • Had my eye on this for a while, at $219 it's a great price - https://www.harveynorman.co.nz/home-appliances/vacuums-and-f…

When checking out it dropped the price, so I have 10 installments of $21.90 for the cleaner. Also I didn't even realize but I have used Genoa pay before so this works for existing customers too.

Thanks OP, been wanting to pick up an Airfryer for a while.

Pretty happy with this for $109

    https://www.harveynorman.co.nz/home-appliances/kitchen-appli…

    • Thanks, I grabbed the same deal.

      • Received my mini oven yesterday - 2 work days delivery ex Dunedin, great service. So far, so good (cheese on toast). Very happy.

  • anyone know when this expires ?

    • Oct 16 at midnight

  • If I haven't got a genoapay is that quite easy to set up at the counter?

  • It's there a fee if I pay straight away in full?

    • There isn't an option to do this, just repayments

      • Nah you can pay it off in full after the purchase

        • Sorry I stand corrected, I assumed it was like the similar services, afterpay zip etc.

I own this (Instapot) already but woild highly recommend for anyone who like pressure cookers for only $149

Also doubles as a very decent rice cooker too

    Very similar to a Crockpot.

    https://www.harveynorman.co.nz/home-appliances/kitchen-appli…

    • I considered this, but would prefer the air-fryer version (it has an additional funny looking lid that I guess has a fan in it). It’s $389 at HN at the moment, too rich for me unfortunately. For a bit of a giggle, type Instant Pot into YouTube, it’s like a cult.

      • +1

We have an instapot too, wife likes it a lot. I think there are some problems with the air-dryer version when I looked at reviews when I was considering whether to get the basic model or pay more. In the end I thought the basic model was the best buy for $150.

Pro-tip Harvy price match too - go to https://www.harveynorman.co.nz/customer-services/contact-us.… and message them about doing a price match

    • also add $10 gift card to get free shipping instead of paying $10 for shipping, edit: doesn't let you choose genoapay if you choose a giftcard

  • Thanks OP. I picked up a Logitech MX master 3 for $129. Amazing mouse.

  • Just bought an Apple Pencil 2 for $169 after price matching with Warehouse Stationary ($219)

    • Was the price match done instore or online?

      • +1

Online, and then they sent me a link to pay online

  • Had to ring around though - with level 3 restrictions here in Auckland many stores would only offer price match in store and would only let me pay using contactless payment.
