I'm sorry, but I fail to see why you need an appliance to make sausage rolls - unless you don't have an oven? In which case you're best to put your $29 towards an air fryer or something which would be a LOT more versatile. There are far too many one-trick appliances that have come out in recent years.

And yes, the Photoshopping - not great but also ironic that it's been Photoshopped in front of a wall oven.

    • They aren't actually used to make sausage rolls.. Apparently the done thing is to use them to make desserts full of melted chocolate bars and such.

      • The latest on the Kmart groups is to make cream filled donuts using the Edmonds Donut mix from the supermarket

    • My sister has a few small appliances like these and makes good use out of them. Like other have said, people have found creative ways to use them for more than what they've stated as.

She only has a small family and doesn't even turn her oven on anymore. I think over time they could save her money on power as she s doesn't have to waste a lot of electricity on pre heating the oven and on cooking small amounts of food.

I bought the Kmart version last year. My intention was to make McDonald's style apple pies, as the Kmart versions moulds are similar shape. It's still sitting in the box unopened in my cupboard. Lol

All these waffle makers, donut makers, sandwich makers, sausage roll makers, pie makers etc… are the same thing but with a different hot plate. If only someone would come out with a xxx maker with interchangeable plates.

    Wait…Kmart actually have one.

Unfortunately no sausage roll or pie plates; only waffle, donut, panini and pancakes (don't see the need for the last one).

    • There was one ages back that had both waffle and toasted sandwich plates from one of the more normal brands, whereas anything toasted sandwich from the cheapies that kmart and warehouse etc all have branded seem to be too shallow to be able to put an egg in the lower half of them.

I would want the removable parts just to be able to clean them better, since I have thrown out a large number of cheap sandwich makers because they have just got too dirty in all the recesses and the fillings have seeped in for me to be bothered to open them up and clean them out. Not helped with the use of propriatory screws that I end up sheering off the end of my security bit sets trying to open them too.

The deal is for the pastry maker, not a dodgy vacuum. No need to downvote ;)
