  • Note the membership doesn't stack at the end of your current subscription like in previous years. You can't even switch subscriptions with their new app. Im going to email them for a refund as I've still got two months left in my current membership so there is an overlap in my two subs.

    • I think you'll find it does overlap. If you go into an offer (you haven't used from the previous year) you will see two coupons to redeem instead of the one.

      • On the new app it doesn't. On the old app it does. You can't download the old app anymore as they've removed it from the app store. But if you had it before you can redownload it from your past purchases.

  • if it's a nationwide offer like Starbucks or st pierres, do they give you multiple coupons for each city or is it just one set of coupons per book?

    • just one set

Does anyone know if the 1 year membership is starting from jan or is it just from when you buy it?

    • starts when you buy

every year's cycle ends 30th June. Cycle begins July for the following 12 months

        • Was when they had paper vouchers but not since they've gone digital. Now it's 12 months from purchase.

Makes sense as it's very easy to do this digitally

  • Never tried this service before. Anyone know if it is worthwhile the price?

    • Lots of long standing companies have cut ties with entertainment book post covid.

If you like (re: already doing) to go around to try restaurants/entertainments (for us cinemas, bowling), then yes it is very good price.

In average, each coupon saves about 25% off - say a couple that spends $100 in an outing, that's $25 off.

      • From most of the resturants I've seen listed its XX% off upto $40

    • I save about $5 each time I use it, and that's once a week or so. It also means I try a wider variety of cafes/restaurants than I normally would.

  • Can't buy the book anymore. Appstore and Playstore have pretty bad reviews regarding usability and new functionality but that can be fixed by them.

On the face of it looks like a good deal but I'm really struggling to find over $50 of savings with what's on offer. For Auckland at least.

    • I've used them for years and get my value worth.

St Pierres Sushi ($10), a few coffees ($15), a couple of lunches at cafes (say 2 x $15) and you're pretty much got the price of the book back.

Plus you get cheap movie tickets at Event ($12.50 I think. Used to buy heaps but not a lot over the past year for obvious reasons)

Being a paper fan I resisted digital but now am a digital convert as you hit a button and it tells you what's nearby. I've had a couple of instances eating in a restaurant and not realising it was in the book until I checked on the app.
