  • Got this offer this morning via the BPme app. Was a bit suspicious as there is no mention of it on the Amex site (that I could find) or here (until now). Also got a 'travel advisory' from 'Amex Travel' that linked to a non-existant website a few hours later. Coincidence? Still a bit wary…

If you login to BPMe app it will show you the offer

    • Did you book something through Amex Travel to travel in the near future? ie the free flight with the Platinum Edge card? I got one a couple days before I was due to depart. Also had a broken link.

      • Yep, travel on Friday. Thought it could be that, however sparse email content, dead link and non amex url had me suspicious.
Thanks for clearing this one up

  • Is the BPme filter just the “pay in car” option on the app?
Also, anyone know where I can sign up to receive these? I know it was posted on Pointhacks but those steps no longer work.

      click on the link

    • I usually receive these promotional emails from Amex but I didn't receive one for this deal.

      • Same with me - was a bit suspicious, but it's also in the app so seems legit.

  • Out of curiosity, why is the URL different from all the other Amex enrollment page we had in the past?

    • I was also curious as it looks dodgy however if you download the bpme app and add a amex card it gives a link to click through right from there which is the same link.

  • Note the deal is essentially spend $100 and receive $20 back when you read it carefully.

Yes it looks suspicious initially and I rung Amex directly. They have confirmed that it is valid. You will see the promotion inside BPme app. It takes you to the same website above as well. For your information I did not receive this offer from Amex directly which is unusual as the one that they sent through recently on Chemist Warehouse was done differently.

    • So Im not the only paranoid one.
Thanks everyone for the confirmation it is legit.

  • I just checked my statement and it gave me $20 twice. Although I did sign up twice, once with the link on this page and the other time when they emailed me a day later (same card)
