    beat the gst.

  • I paid $159.49 USD last time it was on special, so not the lowest for the 10 TB.

    • Yes it was that on Prime Day and has also been there once more since. (I think similar WD drives are often also $160 at BestBuy.) So I suspect it'll be at least that during Black Friday sales. No guarantee of course.

  • I managed to get a few of these, but as always its a risk.
I know people shuck them and put another drive in and return it,
The last drive i got i couldnt even check the drive sectors as the usb controller was faulty was gonna take hundred thousand hours and i noticed it wasn't even fully assembled but its working fine.
The unit box was just shipped in a larger box so theres that risk.
I will see how i am tomorrow and perhaps buy another before gst kicks in as it only takes a week to receive it.

  • It's saying USD129.99 for 8TB for me.

    When's 'Prime Day' again?

      • 8tb is the sweet spot, 10tb ended up being $292 in total.

Prime Day when the 10TB was $159.99 was back in July. Are you thinking of Black Friday? That's the Friday after Thanksgiving in the US so the Friday after the fourth Thursday in November. It's 29 November this time although super sales may not begin exactly on Black Friday (in the US) as there's sort of an extended sales period.

      • Sweet, gotcha… yeah we could do with a few more discs, it's amazing how fast you fill them, every TB has to be doubled too, adds up

        Cheers
