Gull Discount Day 24th-25th October 21c/L off

190

Looking forward to this, supposedly one not to miss but likely 10c going by history lately. Useful even if you go other sites as they usually reduce slightly to compete.

From 7am Thursday 24 October, until 12pm midday Friday 25 October, we're dropping the price of all fuel grades, at all Gull sites - and this is one you don't want to miss! Check back at 6am tomorrow for the discount.

Edit:21c off so a great saving

  • There's a chance it could be $0.12 this time considering Labour Day weekend

Everyone who isn't gull is throwing a tantrum rn
I've never used gull because using the loyalty card things always works out cheaper, but if none of them price match or closely match it I'm using gull for the first time, there's going to be so much lines

Hi Cheapies. You hoo Gull - happy 21 cents off birthday!. Don't you just love little Gull, but hate the big boy fuel companies for ripping off us kiwis on fuel prices for years now… Well for one day today we can watch the big boys get a good profit kicking on pump prices thanks to birthday girl Gull… :).

      • It's a generous 21cents discount because they haven't drop fuel prices fast enough when barrel oil prices have fallen recently

Uhh, Gull is owned by the big boys, Caltex Australia. Z (which also owns Caltex NZ) is the closest to NZ owned we have.

    • Not always. Quite regularly It's ~20c p/l cheaper at Gull Kingsland than the next closest station over Grey Lynn ways. Even if you get a 6c discount with a card it's still not worth it. Works out nearly $10 difference for a fill for my gas hungry beast.

Also, they're competing over our $, if you want to make the companies more competitive, don't be loyal and just go where it's cheaper.

I prefer to use the express Lane after 6pm to avoid long queues.

    • Cars lining up for express lanes in Kingsland whilst there are still heaps of available "normal" pumps. Remember people, sure it's cheaper but you don't get the voucher (worth $13) if you fill up from express lanes.

      • wait what voucher?

        • On manned stations, they also give away vouchers.
2x$5 off min $50 spend and 1x$3 off min $30 spend.

  • Hmm my local Gull is showing as 2.31 for 98 in their speedlane.. it has never been 2.52 so either the discount doesn't apply or the "updated just now" is incorrect :(

Interesting. My local Gulls seem to have dropped their 91 by 21 cents, they are $2.01 for in store payment and $1.95 for the express lane. While I haven't been paying that much attention to recent prices, other nearby stores are generally $2.22 or $2.24 suggesting it was a 21 cent drop. Two of the Mobils seem to be $2.01 I assume price matching.

  • In Whanganui it is $1.87 for express lane or $1.93 normal pumps.

  • Looking at 195 ish around onehunga, don't forget to use gaspy app to compare the area

Yeah I can see some Mobil stations at around $2.00, so use you Mobilsmiles card to get another 6c off

      • Which mean it's same as express lane so if you go at a non busy time no difference

Mobil in my area competing with 2.01 for 91. Paid with farmsource card so extra 16c off per litre. Ended up being $1.85 per litre. Cheapest fill up I've ever had since I started driving :)
