For anyone interested in purchasing, just heads up to check up on the status of Huawei's current business uncertainly with Google and Android before taking the plunge.

    •

Current models (including brand new ones in the box) will still support Android. Future models will not. But anyways yeah, the brand has been crucified by Trump.

Trump has already said he would lift the Huawei ban.

      •

…and he could flip back tomorrow. Meanwhile some US government agencies enacted their own ban that remains firmly in place, based on genuine security concerns instead of whim. While it's very hard to predict Huawei and Google's business relationship in the future, it's clear that the US government has strong reservations about Huawei having access to information.

        •

Even if they ban Huawei it would only be banning them from supplying infrastructure to the US 5g network.

There was never any doubt Huawei will be allowed to PURCHASE goods and services from American companies.

Having said that Nova 5 just came out overseas so I couldn't be buying this phone.

  •

FYI, this model do not have NFC feature. So if you want to top up your snapper card it will be a pain without this feature. My hubby needs to use my phone after switching to this model to do his top up. Well just saying before taking the plunge otherwise this is a very nice phone for the price :)

You could also try 5% price beat at Warehouse Stationery for another $14 off.

    •

wonder how this works when they share the same store

      •

If it's a store like Dunedin or Te Rapa they'll probably just go with whatever's lowest.

Previously i've had a price beat at warehouse stationery against Noel Leeming even though they are owned by same company. Shouldn't be a problem, usually price beating issues come down to particular staff trying to get out of it.

  •

I used online chat to get it 5 percent cheaper and this was my response from the CSR:
"Could you please call our 0800422274 to get this matched as I am not trained in how to change the prices"

So it may pay for everyone to simply call the 0800 number to get the discount as none of today's online staff seem to know how to do it.

This model phone is $249 tomorrow at PBTech stores (not online)
You could get Warehouse Stationery to do a price beat tomorrow.

    •

That's great price. I also see the Huawei Mate 20 will be down to $499 at pbtech sale tommorrow. Great price for current flagship.

      •

Not really their flagstaff - it's about number four in current rankings after the P30 Pro, P30, P20 Pro but still a good deal

    •

Probably have to be quite early, no price beat if out of stock…lol

I just purchased one from Noelleeming using the live chat feature.
It was very easy thanks to a wonderful CSR Charlotte.
I ended up getting it delivered for $245.
It has to be better than my old Samsung S4.

When purchasing online from NoelLeeming note that they have two Huawei Nova 3i's listed.
Both are unlocked but one of them has all the 2Degrees bloatware on it.

  •

Still a lot of stock nationwide of the Purple version.
I grabbed another one for $239 for a relative.

    •

How to get it with that price?

        Using Noelleemings price match.
        Go to Noelleemings website.
        Click on live chat.
Tell them you would like them to match the price of PBTech.
Send them the PBTech link for the phone.
They will give you a single use code to get the phone for $249.
Add the phone to the shopping cart.
        Put the promotional code in.
Then type in the MYNL16W10 code.
The total will now be $239.
Choose click and collect and pay for the order.
Pick up from your local store.
