      https://kb.newegg.com/knowledge-base/canceling-an-order/
Think you can cancel your orders on Newegg. 4 hrs ago isnt even enough time for them to even see the order and pack + ship it out. These guys are slow lol
Might just be able to order it again with the code. =)

      • Cheers, will give it a crack.

  • NH-15D for 105nzd

  • You need to be aware newegg's site does not take into account entry fees(52.67) and GST on shipping if total order value(inc freight) is over $400. So while you may be prepaying some GST the package could still be held until the entry fee+shipping GST is covered.

    • Interesting point is that Newegg actually say they will cover any extra for you like Amazon, but at least one person had problems when the money they paid wasn't used for anything

  • Note "1 use per customer. Deal ends November 25 at midnight Pacific Time, Exclusions apply."

  • Thanks worked well.

  • I bought some gskill Ddr4 3200mhz 16GB RAM for $170+$21 shipping.

It's now gone up to $192 but with the code it's still slightly cheaper than yesterday.

Something like 2x SANDISK ULTRA MICROSDHC 200GB UHS-I CARD WITH ADAPTER (SDSQUAR-200G-GN6MA) is handy to take advanatge of this offer. Comes to $94 incl shipping, $100 cheapest in NZ. Should be able to get $80($73 after fees) for it on TradeMe and be paying only $21 for your second one.

Sadly NZ newegg does not get free shipping for small items like AUS does, getting the same deal delivered there for $68NZD.

  • I created 2 accounts and used it twice :)

    • Did you use same card and address? Will be interesting whether they cancel your order/s. I've read they do it for item quantity limits (mostly during the mining GPU craze) so they probably have some system in place, but perhaps they don't bother with it for promo codes. I think it normally happens fast though so probably if it doesn't get cancelled in a few hours you're good. Although have read of people getting it cancelled the next day, I assume after some manual check.

      • Yes did it three time and all confirmed. Fingers crossed just used different people in the family.

  • Thank you op :)

  • What are you guys buying with this?

  • Tempted by a graphics card. $300 for a Rx 580 is way cheaper than I seem to be able to find here

Might also be able to claim free games from Newegg for these… RX580 sold by Newegg comes with the codes to claim 2 free games which are valued at 200NZD.
Though the AMD site says codes are given by Newegg, not sure if Newegg are offering the game codes for the NZ orders.

Nope. Your final payment is $384NZD, they bill you in NZD aswell so its under $400. Should not be charged any import fees.

        • Generally. If the total is under NZD400 and NewEgg doesn't charge you, you should be fine.

But don't assume NewEgg isn't going to charge you without taking it to the checkout page. NewEgg has some weirdness that I don't really understand. With the RAM deals a few days ago, someone reported despite a total under NZD400 including shipping, NewEgg was still charging duty & GST.

I've confirmed a similar weirdness myself with the Oculus Go 64GB which shouldn't have any extra duty besides GST. (32GB is fine.) Even without the coupon, it comes to well under NZD400 (~NZD337+27) but they still charge duty & GST with or without the coupon. And yes I am referring to the secure checkout page. Actually took it all the way to just before paying.

This doesn't seem to be like Amazon where they charge if it's close just in case. I'm not sure if Amazon have a completely fixed threshold where they charge but they're much more consistent than NewEgg. I've taken NewEgg up to about NZD395 without them trying to charge duty & GST yet they want to do with a total under NZD350 here.

It's possible that you'll be refunded if customs doesn't actually stick all the customs fees on. But NewEgg doesn't seem to clearly say this is what happens. And more importantly I wonder if the reason why they're charging is because they're putting a higher price than what you're paying, for insurance reasons or whatever. If so, this may carry over to what they report to their customs broker. You may be able to argue with customs yourself, but maybe not if New Egg just pay it with your prepaid fees without telling you.

      • I'm looking at this or the AS rock ones

        https://m.newegg.com/global/nz/product/N82E16814131713?ignor…

At about $330 it's cheaper than a used one of trade me.

  • my Dell i7 laptop has faulty hd. a replacement hd not cheap. I don't play game. newegg Refurbished laptop any good?

    • +2

Should be able to install a new HD inside the laptop. Grab an ssd, its pretty cheap these days.

Otherwise probably better to get one of those offleased laptops from PBtech or something when they come on special. Or look on trademe for some decent bargains.

      • That is if it is an SSD. Maybe it is M.2 storage. My Dell laptop has m.2 storage(latitude 7490). To replace it one need to remove the whole laptop back cover which can be a pain.
Yes, for laptops with easier access to SSD or HDD it is always better to replace the SSD/HDD.

  • Damn the NAS HDD been looking as still has gst added on

    • Actually never mind come off as checkout. Sweet deal!
