This price has been around for a while at Bunnings, cheapest I'm able to find so far for a 40L bag of compost.

Yes, it's been $3.50 a bag for as long as I can remember. A good price but not really a deal.

do you dig the ground around the plant or just add compost without digging?

  Daltons compost is just a compost where as the garden booster is a compost with added nutrients in form of fertiliser. You can add compost in both ways but I prefer a lil bit of a digging and incorporating with the soil without disturbing the roots.
