  These go for around $3 ish on one-day sometimes… They suck and its not worth any money at all lol… The primary port is ur tv and secondary is going to be a receiver or dvd player. If you open your tv, ud also need to open your secondary machine as well. Only when you turn off ur tv, the IR receiver on the power controller would turn off your secondary equipment. You cannot use your secondary equipment in the plug without having the primary (TV) turned on… It will force shut it down in a few minutes… Might be useful for someone who's too lazy to grab the remote again to turn off the secondary machine but i personally find it useless… Since you'd still need the remote for your secondary machine to turn it on anyway…

    The idea is to reduce standby power which is something that can not be achieved with a remote control,. Can only be achieved with a relay switch or switching it off at the wall.
