2nd gen isn't much more advanced, but for only $20 id get it

  these are great, i had noise cancelling before but love the features this one has to use the mics to amplify stuff so u can hear without taking them off. I only have 1st gen tho (got for $80 and was happy with that)

Very good price for these imo,
Got a pair of the second gens and am pretty happy. Looking forward to trying them on a long haul flight in a couple of weeks.
The first gen doesnt work with the app, even though they are meant to. So if looking at those keep this in mind.
Really a no brainer to go second gen for improved battery life alone

  i don't think 1st gen are supposed to work with the app. Also note both these pair have access to google assistant, its just not a big deal (bose uses the fact they have it on 2nd gen q35s as a selling point, and most reviewers dont mention that both these pair can do it)

There are reports of the headband cracking on the 1st gen -don't know if this is fixed in 2nd gen.
