Reposting this deal here as it's a crazy price!

Temporarily out of stock, but can back order.

Review score is 4.3 out of 5 stars on Amazon US, although 9% gave 1 star.
Uses TLC flash, but no complaint from me at this price tag.

Thanks, I've hit buy. Let's see if one ships. Was debating if the usd 250 Samsung evo 1tb was worth getting, but this one is an absolute deal at nzd 156! I only need it for games anyway.

  • There's a pattern in the amazon/newegg reviews that the 240gb has had several failures - not sure if it's this particular model or the fact that 240-260gb is the more popular size, so most of the reviews are for that.

I suppose time will tell. Never keep important data without a backup!

Regardless it appears to have a 3 year warranty, and their warranty policy (pdf) doesn't say it's country specific and you could return it to them direct:

Return to an authorized Silicon Power dealer or distributor from which you purchased the Silicon Power product. Please confirm the terms of your dealer's or distributors return policies prior to returning the product.
    OR
Returning directly to the Silicon Power service centre: Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number through Silicon Power's website, and follow the product return procedures.

  • I think the price is too good to be true
