Only getting 6Mbit on ADSL would suggest being well out of range for VDSL.

@bigbosssnake: No. It goes down my street, but they won't connect me. As far as I can tell, if a house has never been connected to the cable network before they will not do a new connection. Worst of all, we get Fibre in late 2019.

What?? BigPipes most exspensive deal is $120 per month for unlimited 200/200 (the fastest around). If you stay away from Orcon your easily get your money back for the Xbox.
Come on man, it says gigabit in the title. 1000/500 for $135 compared with 200/200 for $120 seems pretty good to me.

The difference won't pay for a Xbox One, but you won't have a 24mth contract with an ISP like Orcon, either.
Yeah, didn't realise that this is 1000/500. After 24 months 6 x 24 = $124, Xbox One S is $341 so this isn't a bad deal.

Sort of. Only Dunedin gets the subsidised "gigatown" pricing, but the other LFCs announced gigabit offerings last month, and Chorus scrambled to catch-up a couple of weeks later.

Taste it yourself if not happy you can cancel. Geekzone say that for other providers too don't rely on them too much maybe its true .
