Steam several cups of rice. Let it cool a bit. Add some makgeolli yeast and rub it in well. Put in a glass jar in the hotwater cupboard. 2-3 weeks later have some wonderfully sour Korean rice wine, about 15-20% alcohol. Easy peasy!

The 5 cup one looks pretty small, as it only holds 1 litre. Also they had this one for $10 last year as shown at https://www.cheapies.nz/node/2225, so @ $20 it is double what they have sold it for. The 10 cup ones are probably a better size for a family although doesn't look like they sell the white ones..
