Call 0800 475 988 and ask for the $49 deal. Please note this is not the standard Sky number, it is their telemarketing number.

The base deal is: Sky Basic, My Sky, Free Installation + 2 premium packages for $49 per month.

For example:

• Sky Basic, Sky Sport, Sky Movies, My Sky and Free Installation = $49 per month (usually $113.44) - $773.28 savings over 12 months compared to existing subscriber rates.

• Sky Basic, Sky Sport, HD Ticket, My Sky and Free Installation = $49 per month (usually $102.50) - $642 savings over 12 months compared to existing subscriber rates.

This deal is for new customers only. There is a minimum term of 6 months, and the special price will last for 12 months. After that it will return to the standard pricing. You can then cancel and sign up to the deal again after 3 months if you wish.

Esawer has confirmed that he called and signed up to this deal recently. If you have any trouble signing up, please let me know.

Many have said it's actually $48. Will leave it as is, but it's possible you'll only pay $48 per month.

      Ah, thanks for that. I think that particular promotion expired. I guess the same promotion lives on, but it's only sold through Sky telemarketers now.

    We signed up recently, Sky basic, movies and sport with mysky for $48, we pay $58 including the hd ticket

      Unfortunately not, you would have to cancel and wait 3 months before you would be eligible. Even if you sign up with a different name, they will pick up on the address. I'm in the same situation.

        what if they cancelled at home, ordered at another address, and just up and moved the decoder to their home?

        Not always the case, when you speak to their cancellation team they are super flexible. When I cancelled, they said I can keep the box and pay $18 p/month for freeview. I said no, than they said keep the box for 2 months free with freeview. I will call them again ask for this deal or threaten to cancel - at the end of the day it costs them money to bring people out to your house just to remove the box.

      PS: Someone please upvote this deal so it gets to the main page. Once it's there I'm sure many will take advantage of it. It really is an amazing deal for anyone considering Sky.

    Thanks for the link, just arranged to have installed $39 for 1 premium channel or $49 for 2. Price valid for 12 months but you are only contracted for 6 months.
