60

Appears price isn't showing yet, but I believe the promotion should have started so may change throughout the day. Here is an image of promotion

I've got one (Polypro Unisex Long Sleeve Thermal Top v2 - Black) and would recommend quite easily @ $10, so if your looking for some thermals then have a look at these.

  • Doh! Just come back from Kathmandu. Would have purchased if realised it was available. Thanks though

  • Poly pro is pretty yucky, kinda like wrapping yourself in glad wrap.

Look for their deals on 'thermaplus' gear, which is much nicer.

    • Agreed but still makes a good spare garment to keep in the car for being caught out in the cold.

    • you talked me out of it..

  • +4

Ofcourse fine wool merino wear is the platinum standard.

On things Kathmandu, for those in the South Island. Worth noting that a lot of the socks etc sold by Kathmandu (and other mainstream stores such as Farmers) are made under contract by the New Zealand Sock Company.

Their factory is in Ashburton. Attached to the factory is a seconds outlet with product which hasn't quite made the grade. (loose thread, wrong batch dye etc.) This includes Kathmandu products. The prices are ridiculously cheap. Maybe a few dollars for $90 pair of hi tech tramping socks etc. They make their own range of products as well.

If passing through the South Island, well worth taking the detour to visit. You'll easily grab a couple of years worth of socks for the family (includes kid sizes) for a very low price.

    • The … South Island? Isn't there just one?

      • Ain't called the Mainland for nuthin….. (Deeh, Jaffas 'eh)

        • Haha :)

    • Great tip for the seconds socks thanks, will check them out next time I go up

    • Since there was a smidgeon of interest in comment on NZ Sock Coy, another titbit, This crowd make a range of 'technical' socks, the likes of which I'd not seen before. Thought, well a sock is a sock. These tech socks look weird with a strange assortment of elastic segments in odd configurations. Bought a couple of (seconds) sets just to try. Goodness, never knew a sock could feel so good. The weird tech design stuff, it actually works. Amazingly comfortable sock. Never thought I'd enthuse about a damn sock, but these were excellent.

  • Just bought 4 long slevee+ $5 postage. Great deal.
