Man, this post again. I remember seeing it very recently, and it was removed due to sockpuppeting.
It’s not a free phone — you’re still paying for the device. Normally, the pricing is the same whether you choose no SIM, a physical SIM, or an eSIM. The prices are usually:
And by the way, it’s easy enough to just apply for a 30-day Primate trial anyway, so the non-Primate member pricing might as well not be an option.
However, this time they’ve removed the Primate member pricing for the SIM card options, which means:
You’re essentially being forced into non-Primate pricing (even if you’re already a Primate member) if you want the SIM option. You’re paying an extra $224.70 for the phone. I’m pretty sure it was being sold for less elsewhere the last time I checked, although prices may have gone up again since then.
Either way, that phone isn’t worth that amount. It's absolute dog poo. And only capable of 4G. If you really want a phone, get something else better.
