  • Can't wait for the Noel Lemmings Court case for their dodgy practices.

    • Which particular reason?

"Cost" being a randomly generated number?

      • “Cost” means you have to ask a stuff to check in their system.

      • I checked a fridge that was 1449 a week ago with no code needed.. with this offer its 1649.

        • That's super dodgy man. @jdsurfer had a point.

    • lol. these lads make it up as they go.

    • Been and gone. Noels do all sorts of kinda shady stuff.

Tbf the 'cost' on these sales is a bit nonsense and more about getting you in the door than anything. Just use price spy and you're good

      • I agree. This is BS.

        • I may have worked there a long time ago.

This one time they ran a cost + 0 promo on iPhones just like this post. People were obviously a bit pissed off when you told them they would only get $18 off of 1.5k or whatever it was.

But besides that: I never quite figured out how cost worked at noels, we'd pretty regularly lose sales to Harvey's who were considerably cheaper than our 'cost'. My suspicion is that salespeople are given a cost that is either made up as a 'cheapest you can sell it' or their cost factors in other, extra costs like some kind of store fee.

Not to be a downer too, but these 'friends and fsmily' promos make for the most entitled customers lol

          • @Frisky Grandma: TBF on the customers if I was tricked by a shady tactic and wasted my time coming into the store just to be told the item was 20% more than it was last week even with their sale Id be pissed too.

  • Do have a link to the actual deal OP? (image or PDF). Good to have the exclusions.

I'm guessing it's *Cost+ 5% on products storewide, excluding Apple, Dyson products, gaming consoles and bundles, and Tech.Inc products.

  • I am using online promo code for Stand mixer, and it says invalid code

    • deal is in 2 days not now.

      • Oh my bad, thanks

  • Was looking as getting a few Tapo cameras, was $60 the other day, now $66.

  • Thanks, it gives a discount of $69 on a ASUS laptop.

  • Suppliers gives “rebates” for retailers to run promo and sale from time to time, rebates effectively keep their margins but pass on the discount to customers. I suspect these supplier rebates are greater than their base cost margins hence cost + x sales are not always the best deals…everyday supermarket specials are essentially mostly supplier rebates…I hope that helps explain the situation.
