  • Showing as $677.46 AUD when delivery address changed to NZ. It seems to remove the 10% GST. Does anyone know if this will be pinged for NZ GST upon delivery?

    • As far as I understand it shouldn't be, as it's under the $1000 threshold.

    • plus the 40 something aud freight to NZ it came out to the listed price.
      great bargain none the less.

    • Did you count the $43.77 shipping cost? It shows AUD $721.23 delivered for me.

    • I've ordered light fittings and smoke alarms from mjselectricalsupplies.com.au before. The same thing happens - when delivery address is NZ, they don't charge GST.

I think they only need to register to collect NZ GST if they're selling 60k NZD worth to kiwis per year, just like the requirement for NZ businesses.

It's great as it makes up for higher shipping costs we have to pay.

  • Holy moly this is a great deal. I've been using this exact model since launch and it hasn't missed a beat. I consider upgrading to a newer model but can't justify it because these devices are still working brilliantly.

    • Recently picked up one myself and it's been great :) The M5 benchmarks are pretty remarkable but still not enough to justify as well as the M1P performance is still more than enough.

      • How was the condition of the one you purchased?

        • Mine just arrived today. Space Grey, in pretty good nick. A decent amount of adhesive residue not cleaned off + a few slight sticker shadows on the top, but otherwise rather tidy. 90% battery health.

  • This is now showing as out of stock.

  • B grade available but A grade OoS?

    • I wouldn’t get the B grade. Look at the OzBargains thread and see all the unhappy comments about those.

      • I am but scared of grade A as well. Someone ordered grade A but really got grade B/C level. At least aussies can return the product

  • these are good PCs.

  • They also sell through Kogan

  • Thanks OP! Bit the bullet for this one as I'm looking for a new laptop. Came from a Microsoft line so a bit of a learning curve but hopefully should be enough for my needs.

  • Purchased a 4K monitor several years ago from these guys and it has been great for the cost. But wasn’t well packed so was lucky it wasn’t damaged. Ymmv

    • Yup. From this deal I believe. I got the same and it's been great still.

  • any one got the laptop delivered ? I got this from the tracking number "Refused by customs - dangerous goods: This item was considered dangerous or unsuitable for departure, so it's being returned to the sender"

    • Same issue came up with my tracking, just waiting on support to reply to my ticket.

    • Just got mine delivered, took just under a week to get to me. Unfortunately no clue why yours would be rejected 😕

    • Yeah same thing from me too. I’m wondering if they didn’t package it good enough so it got flagged.

    • Response I got from them:

      Thanks for reaching out.
We are unsure of the reason until the item is received back.
We will have to order resent through Fedex when it arrives back.

      • the tracking is update to "contact sender" - it will be a long wait to get the macbook
