  • Can some elinghten me on how this is a deal? Like in layman's terms. I see everyone saying it's a bargain etc. How doe it compare with other monitors and why this is good for value please. I'm not as super tech savy, i have read the ozbargain comments and reddits but I feel like im missing something. Thanks
Also, is it a deal for NZ at 202 vs 149 in Aus?

    • It's just a decent price for a name brand, 1440p resolution high refresh rate monitor. Only monitors I've seen at this price that are similar are kogan ones that can only do half the refresh rate or ones that's are only HD and won't look as nice.

If you want a decent resolution, size, refresh rate from a known brand this is a good deal. A Samsung with this sort of spec is more like $350.

    • Not sure why I got a negative vote? Just a genuine question on a topic i have no knowledge on?

      • Some people be like that, just ignore it

      • Valid question and glad you asked. Some people on their high horses need to relax, this isn't Reddit. Ignore them.

  • Do I really need this? Must stop this urge…

  • You all tempted me. I was skeptical at 1440p vs 4k on 27" but I've been convinced at this price. Got one, thanks folks! I currently have a 2019 LG FHD with 75hz that I use for programming so hopefully this one is a tad better

    • Same. I have Philips 273v IPS FHD and this seems good for QHD. 4k is not worth it for 27" and programming or normal use. Hopefully I am not disappointed.

      • 4K at 32 inch is good but man it's overwhelming having that height and width combined. Work got us 2 32 inch curved screens and I struggle with 50% of the second screen going largely unused. I got a 34 inch ultra wide at home and it's great, it's paired with a 24 inch and thinking to upgrade that to this deal but use wise that's my limit I think. Something about the UW and side is just nicer to size the windows effectively with how I use them that means the side one is easier to use.

        • That's true. I have 27 and 32" 4k which is scaled up. Can't work with 2 32. It's just not for me. Also laptop screen is already there so it is not good for neck as well. Just too much real estate to cover.

          • @ace310: I don't use the laptop screen at all, they gave us an arm for it and the monitors are so damn big the laptop arm can't fit around them, and the bottom doesn't clear the desk enough to squeeze it down there. The biggest issue is the dell docks don't have the bandwidth to drive 2 4k monitors and gigabit ethernet, most users don't care but we worked out a couple of pieces of software really take a performance hit compared to plugging the Ethernet in to the laptop.

  • Succumbed and out an order in. Estimates delivery isn't until 24th so a bit if a wait to get this one.

    • Mine is showing estimated ship date at 12th June and arrival at 18th.

      • I only purchased yesterday morning and was advised of an expected delivery of 22 June (to Wellington region), however got an email last night "Your Dell Order Has Shipped Early" and it looks to have been picked up this morning per tracking "Picked up in area Airport Oaks 1 by XXXXXX. Couriers home branch is Manukau City", so expecting (hoping) it doesn't take 18 days to get down the island…

        • That's interesting. Mine is still in confirmation state and still showing above dates. God knows how it gets processed.

          • @ace310: Any movement on your order? Mine is sitting in confirmation state since 30th of May.

            • @JSR: Same for me. No updates. Since the estimate was for 12th June so will have to wait for it.

        • Did you receive it?

          • @ace310: Hi. Yes I have. Ordered the monitor and some power packs on morning of 03/06. Monitor was delivered 05/06 and power packs 09/06.May be worth checking in to se if something is stuck preventing the order confirmation? -my confirmation ("Your Dell Order Has Been Confirmed" email) came through around an hour after the order being placed (separate email from the "Your Dell Order Has Been Received" email)

            • @useruutt88: I have got both the emails.

              • @ace310: Mines the same, says it's scheduled for production and due to arrive 24th, the packing slip days is due for dispatch on 13th so hopefully have it next week.

              • @ace310: Just got my confirmation of dispatch, apparently they have sent my "custom item" but it's waiting for pickup to get the tracking link.

                • @Everettpsycho: Good to hear. Nothing yet on my side. Maybe will get it soon.

                • @Everettpsycho: Update from support:

Due to a temporary part shortage, there has been a delay in processing your order. The revised estimated delivery date is 20/06/2026.

                  • @ace310: Support wouldn't even give me an estimated date. Got the generic "working on it, will keep you posted" response. I should have just paid the extra 30 odd bucks to JB. But would that have been an automatic booting from the Cheapies club? lol

                    • @JSR: Dell tracking is madness. Apparently in their eyes handing off to the courier is "delivered". So my order has tracked through the entire process as if it was internal order that has been delivered when leaving the factory. The out for delivery part was then transferring it to the courier. The e things not even in the right island yet.

                      • @Everettpsycho: For my order, status changed to "shipped" a few mins ago and tracking link says "in transit" (airport oaks), so it should arrive tomorrow (am in Auckland). Hopefully it is not a DOA unit..lol. I ll update if it does arrive.

Edit: Dell got jokes. Just got an email notification saying "Great News! Your order has shipped early ."
