Sorry, but this is far from a solid deal. I bought the 258v 15inch (although not aura) directly from Lenovo for approx 2000. They run these deals quite often.

new account, created to post this "deal"

What's the deal here?

is this good ? I need a new laptop

not really at that price

I'm looking for a new laptop too but this is quite far from a deal I was expecting on King's Birthday.

As a long-time PC user, I would always recommend a Macbook for laptop option.
For $2k you could pick up a latest generation MBA (16 gb ram, 512gb SSD).
If you want a PC or linux experience you can always spin up a VM (using UTM or other) on your new Macbook … :)

Did they mean to post this one perhaps? : https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/p/lenovo-yoga-pro-7i-14.5-3k-o… for $2,397?
I mean i still wouldnt get a windows laptop, getting this macbook has shown me the way (still prefer my PC for the desktop experience tho).

In 2026, unless you really need windows or Linux, just do yourself a favour and get a MacBook.
It's not like the 2010s anymore
Don't see why this is on cheapies? Op trying to get a spiv maybe

Technically mac is linux, so do yourself a favour and just avoid Windows full stop!

Technically, macOS is Unix, not Linux.

Thanks for posting OP - good effort. These component make it difficult to determine how good some these deals are (or not).
