If you're open to MacOS I would recommend looking at the Macbook NEO too!

    • Good value for sure Macbook Neo - Apple

    • Exactly! Definitely recommend the MacBook Neo.

I laughed when I see “up to 8 hours battery life”.

    • agreed. If anyone’s making a trip to Aus anytime soon, can pickup the NEO for under 800nzd using Apple Edu and claiming TRS. Unreal deal

  • +1

I would say spend the same in the secondhand market on something thats <3 years old with better specs and similar screen.

    • Macbook neo, full stop.

      • Not if you want windows.

There's very few programs that a person needs that can't be run on MacOS. Particularly for someone only buying an Intel N150 machine. There's Parallels too

          • @Redcafej: Parallels on 8GB of RAM? lol?

            • @kfr23: If it works on M1 8gb it's gonna work on the Neo. Again, for people buying Intel N150 it's not an issue at all.

            • @kfr23: Performance seems usable, especially since that's in comparison to a much better system than this one (Ultra 5, 16GB RAM).

      • Or M1/M2 Macbook secondhand

  • i got a better specs laptop off aliexpress for around $420 that included the 15% tax

        256gb ssd
battery i get like 3/6 hours depending on what i do
        windows 11
