I bought 5 of the 1st gen megaboom (2 for me 3 for others) and they are still all good 7 years later.
Only ue boom problem i ever had was 1st gen normal one the charge point broke so i am careful plugging them in to charge. But the 3s have the option to buy that charging station thing so not a problem if the plug part breaks
