25% off all Travel eSIMs @ KiwiSim

201
CHEAPIES25

Hi all,

Been working on this project for a while now after getting ripped on the NZ telco's daily roaming prices going up, and thought it was time for a locally owned travel eSIM provider in a market owned by foreign companies.

Wanted to give back to the site who's helped me with so many great deals over the years first, if anyone might be shooting away overseas soon.

Any feedback or questions is much appreciated!

Cheers 💚

  • I would but my work firewall does not like your URL…

  • Nice stuff - will try out in June when I go overseas!

    • Mint, thanks!

  • Nothing for cook islands?

    • Unfortunately not but definitely top of mind since I'm planning a Raro trip this year too… Vodafone has a bit of a monopoly over there

  • Any voice+data plans with a local number?

    • All Data-only SIMs at the mo but certainly something I'll look into more

  • Travelling to SK and SG next week so this is great timing

      Great to hear, safe travels!

  • Can I purchase now, and then activate when I travel?

    • You've got 180 days from purchase to use your SIM! Cheers

A reminder for people to cross-check esimdb to ensure they are getting the deal they think they are.
Even after 25% discount these prices are often 50+% more expensive than the cheapest.

Looking at a few of the prices quoted on esimdb, they don't seem to match up with what the actual prices, so yeah… kinda useful I guess, but also completely useless at the same time.

And also a reminder that cheapest doesn't necessarily mean best…

      • Yeah it's not 100% accurate. Sometimes the price is wrong. Often it just requires you to enter the listed promo code.
With the number of options available, you will definitely find a valid one significantly cheaper than what is being offered here.

majority of these smaller eSIM sellers are just reselling plans with a margin rather than having direct carrier contracts, so it's pretty hard for them to compete with the big players in terms of price

The barrier to entry is so low with these esims that every VPN company and larger airport are now “eSIM providers”. All it takes is a website and a couple API calls and OP’s project is just another testament to it.

  • Awesome thanks. Have purchased and will use in two weeks!

  • Is there firewall bypass in China with this eSIM?

  • Hey @xonc, just got back from Japan and used the unlimited data option from you, worked flawlessly the whole time we were there. Wife forgot to use the cheapies code but your prices are great anyway, thanks very much!

    • Great to hear, thanks for the feedback!!
